"The results of more than a century of anthropological research on households, kinship relationships, and families, across cultures and through time, provide no support whatsoever for the view that either civilization or viable social orders depend upon marriage as an exclusively heterosexual institution. Rather, anthropological research supports the conclusion that a vast array of family types, including families built upon same-sex partnerships, can contribute to stable and humane societies.

The Executive Board of the American Anthropological Association strongly opposes a constitutional amendment limiting marriage to heterosexual couples."

That's pretty neat. It sounds so factual and sober when they say it.

When they say it, it sounds like people might listen to them. They do say it in a very formal, articulate way...very professional. Beautiful.

YAY! science!!

Ah yes my lovely science opposes religion yet again. I love it ^_^

I wonder when the controversy will hit with this comment, controversy seems to hit whenever anyone approves of gay marriage...

The biggest myth in the world is that Mom and Dad and two and a half kids is a traditional family. Traditional families are extended families with the grandparents and the cousins and the gay uncles and etc all together.
