Missouri state senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal called for reparations for former slaves on Tuesday, and took a swipe at her own party’s US Senator in the same breath.

While declaring there’s “no difference” between white Democrats and Republicans, Chappelle-Nadal said that “neither one of them give a heck about the black community, only the votes.”

She went on to say she would like US Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) to call for reparations, and added that people in her district see McCaskill as a Republican.

Last year, Chappelle-Nadal came under fire after writing a Facebook post saying “I hope Trump is assassinated!” McCaskill issued a statement regarding the comments shortly thereafter: “I condemn it. It’s outrageous. And she should resign.”

When i read bullshit like this, i just have to question if people want to re-fight the american civil war. Because it seems to me people are literally itching for a fight.

Not to mention when i hear "slave reparations" i have to go really? because without some genuine proof it's hard for me to believe the person doing the accusing is out for monetary gain, political gain, or to humiliate the one they're accusing. Not to mention this has the added element of the one being accused has little defense against the accuser. Because the instant the person accused tries to put up a fight, the accuser can bitch slap them with the "race card"

Spending as much (while preventing skim) on schools, safety, health, infrastructure etc in non-white as white neighborhoods MIGHT start to address historic evils AND will boost the entire nation's health, wealth, and happiness. Yeah, a better life for all.
