I'd thought I would throw out one of my personal observations. For the time I have been a member of the lit forums, it seems like I have a much more comfortable rapport and friendships with women that aren't living in the same state as I am. Its probably just me though. I don't even discuss meetings in rl with women in the same state. Is there some mechanism that some have with talking to a person in the same state that makes them put up a shield or be hesitant ? Maybe people are too close for comfort or something like that? Though it seems like many people on here do like to congregate with people in the same vicinity.

Anyways, just an observation. Not accusing people or any individuals of anything.:)

Two thoughts..

1) The net is a safe haven for those of us exploring the various aspects of our sexuality... so keeping it impersonal makes that exploration easier

2) People also look for shared experiences... its human nature

So, what I think you are observing is the dynamic interplay between these two competing forces

I for one, an interested in anyone who can expand my horizons

;)
