I think the mods killed it, could be wrong (I may have had one or three too many, LOL). I was only expressing my appreciation for all of Laurel's work. Before sharing some emails with her I had no idea all that she does.

Not sure what Manu does, but if the stories are backed up she must have a smile on her face, and well-deserved. A big high-five to a man that shares his mate's desire. It's appreciated more than you know!

Sorry, I was delayed in getting to the point; how does one make that rose icon?

Do you not see the Smilies on the right side of the text field? The rose is in the bottom left corner. If not, there may be something amiss with your browser

Otherwise, you can type :*rose*: with no asterisks (just leave the bold parts: colonrosecolon).

You can find your threads by going to one of your posts, clicking on your username, and viewing your Public Profile. Then, click on the "Find all threads started by AsylumSeeker" link and a list of the threads that are still there will pop up.

In Theory, Yes

But I've had no luck. And there is no icon I can see. Crap, getting old sucks

The brackets are angel's breath and greenery. How beautiful! I'm still enthrallled at the sight.

Huggss Laurel!

I found the entire list of smilies for you. It's in the forum FAQ (there's a link near the top of each page):
http://forum.literotica.com/misc.php?do=showsmilies

Maybe someone like WeirdHarold will come by to tell you why the smilies aren't displaying on the right side of your screen. I think it has something to do with java script.

What browser and forum skin (at the very bottom of the page on the left, there's a drop down box with a bunch of different styles) are you using?

Oh, and you can use the Preview Post button (right next to the Submit Reply button under the text box) to see if your code works if you don't want to submit a bunch of test posts. :)

Attached is a screenshot showing the smilies on the right of the text box.

I don't see the smilies either when I post. It's just one big text input square with the post icons below it.

Lalah and AS, go to User CP > Edit Options and scroll down to Miscellaneous Options. Under Message Editor Interface, make sure "Standard Editor - Extra Formatting Controls" is selected, instead of "Basic Editor". If not, change it and click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

Then see what happens when you try to reply to a thread. Do you see a text box with formatting controls and smilies like the screenshot I posted?
