Starship Troopers OOC (also a casting call kind of)

I didn't see anything like this so I have been wondering if maybe anybody would be interested in joining me to start one.

I think we can start after the new "Planet Buster" bomb has been unveiled and also the armored battlesuits. You can pick any existing character or even create your own, if you are not familiar with Starship Troopers, but want to join in then just jump on in, we can sort out the kinks as we go.

Starship Troopers was the first action, sci-fi movie I watched with inter gender showers and who did include sex (or at least we saw the romping action under a sleeping bag, but you get the idea), so ladies you are welcome to join in as well.

Was looking to see how many interest I can find. The idea was as follows:

A distress signal was picked up from the planet Z-75, one of the farming colonies where the 28th Mobile Infantry is/was stationed. HQ dispatched Mobile Infantry units 7 and 15, upon descend the drop ships' hull integrity was breached (Spoiler: Sabotage, curtsy of Behemecoatyl who have covertly converted other psychics even if they didn't know they were psychic), only a few soldiers survived as they was fast enough to get into containment suits. Upon landing the survivors had to repel an attack by Warrior bugs. They can't get hold of the 28th Infantry and decide to hoof it to the base and see what they can find out what happened to the 28th. Upon arrival they are welcomed into the base and it is revealed that the 28th was under attack and lost their communication gear, after debriefing it is decided to head back towards the drop ships to salvage the radios and call in for backup.

The story starts as the group of soldiers are leaving the base.

Anyone else ever see Roughnecks: The Starship Troopers Chronicles? Kind of a blend of the movie and the book. Bugs straight from the movie, powered suits that aren't as powerful as the book ones but still pretty good, deployment that manages to combine drop-ships AND drop capsules.

Mongoose Publishing even did a pen-n-paper RPG based on it a few years ago.

The plan originally was for the characters to be anything they want to be, but with the storyline it finally dawned on me that the Marauders will not be there. I'm currently working on an alternative. Like that there is Marauders on one of the ships and when they get the call from the on-planet group the players that wants to play Marauders can be deployed.

So far we seem to have 4 people interested. If we can iron out the little kinks first I'll start the IC post

Hair color and style: Naturally brunette the outer layer is dyed red with purple streaks, it rests just above shoulder length and she often ties it back in a bun or ponytail.
Body build: A little thicker but still in great shape.
Speciality: Field Medic (Surgeon)
Short Bio/Long Bio: As a youth she was a survivor of the attack by the bugs on Earth. Her father was killed instantly and though dying her mother had tried to save others providing emergency first aid to any she could find before succumbing to her injuries. Being the last image of her mother the young Kerrigan had, she had only one choice and that was to continue helping others. She enlisted as a medical student and by the time she was seventeen had become a highly skilled if still green surgeon. She was assigned as a field medic to give her experience and for five years she got lots of practice.

Not much of a shooter she has learned to deal with the stresses of battle and has earned a measure of respect for her effectiveness mending soldiers even in the middle of battle. Her determination to 'fix' the wounded has led to her near demise several times if not for other soldiers killing the threat she sometimes seems oblivious to. She received her nickname Stitch for sewing a soldiers top and bottom half back together during a heated conflict when his abdomen was sliced wide open. The soldier miraculously survived but later while in hospital slipped into a coma and died.

Short Bio/Long Bio: Being a violent child, Daniel's parents decided for him to join the service, not only to receive citizenship, but to do what he loved to do. Damage. Daniel have received many field promotions, but made sure to do anything in his power to get demoted each and every time.

Daniel did undergo training to become a Marauder pilot, but he requested to stay on a foot soldier, which given the fact that the Marauder program was still in testing phase, was granted as there was a worry that Daniel might find a way to break his assigned Marauder. While on duty with MI 7, Daniel's Marauder is on board...just in case he needs it
