New Fish!

Well I Am Pleased To Announce That All My Fish Problems Were Just Me Being A Too Nervous Mummy:D

I Am ALSO Pleased To Annouce The Two New Additions To My Tanks!

Off To Big Al's Fish Shop Yesterday, I Was In Search Of An Algae Cleaner And A Friend To My Beautiful Cairn In The Form Of An Oscar.

Bingo! I Found A Lovley Tiger Oscar Just A Tad Smaller Than My Humungeous Common Cairn:D And A Pim Catfish To Help Lady Noir And Sir Aurthur II With Their Little Algae Problem (to close to the freaking window).

Their Names Are,

Splash The Tiger Oscar And Sir Whiskers The Finely Marked Pim Catfish:D :D :D :D :D :D

I Also Saw The Most Perfect Albino Betta! Hoping He Is Still Around Next Week, Cuz I Want Him BAD!

I Thought About

Trying To Sexually Arouse My Fish...

Help!

Can Someone Tell Me Why, When I Try To Suck My Oscar Fish Off, He Always Tells Me No?

We Used To Have Such A Loving Relationship, And Now He Will Only Watch:(

Stress

That Is All. I Just Know It.

He's Like, " What The Fuck, You RudeNastyAssBitch!"

LOL

Oh lord! :D

Can't you just move him back to the other tank for his own safety until you get it sorted out?

I can't help you at all. All my fish ended up being flushed down the toilet in under a week.

Whos Rule Is It

About Only Replying To Your Own Threads?

Pabloback?

Whatever. I Like That....At Least I Reply:D

I'm afraid my expertise with fish is limited. Not knowing how you transferred him, I'm not sure I'll be much help. Some key things about transferring fish:

1) Make sure the water is dechlorinated.
2) Put the fish in a plastic bag with some of the water from his old tank and ease the bag into the new tank. Let him rest in it for about twenty minutes before transferring him directly into the tank. This lets the varying water temperatures even out gradually, reducing shock to the fish.

You probably already know that. Outside of those two things, my knowledge of fish transferring is spent. Sorry I couldn't be more help. :)

Check your Nitrite levels, stat.

Also, get and add StressCoat (aloe vera will do the trick too). He is in shock. Probably a bit from disorientation. Are the water temps the same in both tanks? Is there a chance that he is constipated? Sometimes if they have to poop, but can't they get tippy. If he isn't better in a day, call the fish doctor.

Hi

I Need To Know A Little Something Bout Fish Behaviour.

I Just Today, Moved My Too Big Fer His Old Tank Cuzza Beefheart Feeding:) Oscar Fish, Into His Treated And Running Beautifully New 65 Gallon Tank!

My Sweet Plecostumus Too.

Since His Move About 20 minutes Ago, I Have Been Observing Him Quite Closely And Am Very Concerned. While The Pleco Seems To Be Doing well, My Lovley Cairn Is On The Bottom And Not Looking Too Hot:( He Goes For A Sideways Sorta Swim Every 5 Mins Or So Then Comes Right Back To His Same Resting Spot On The Bottom!

I Talk To Him And He Looks At Me Fishy Like As He Always Does, But His Color Is A Little Stressed And He Is Breaking My Heart!

I Thought He Would Be WAY Happy To Swim And Frolic. What's Going On?

Many fish get stressed when you remove them from the tank to thoroughly clean the tank and change the water. My chiclids freak out every time, loose their color for a while. They even mope around at the bottom of the tank too

But, the good news is they just get scared and come back perky and happy again. Some fishe species just take longer to get used to their new surroundins. Don't worry too much. They will be fine. It can take hours or a few days for fish to feel comfortable in a new tank.

Happy fish tales.:)

Nobody Cares About My Fish....

I Read All That Shit About Your Cats And Dogs And Say " Ooh Is'nt He Cute!", " Aww I Love Mine Too:)" The Most You Could All Do Is Say " Nice Fish. Now Shut The Fuck Up!"

I DO!

I am sorry I missed this!

I love fish!

YOu are a good mommy!

You are really really cool RNAB!

I guess I am the only one who gives a rats fucking ass.

:D

Okay, so you think they'll have some sex and create some odd spliced up species?

I need to buy some new fish, but I don't need to buy some new fish. I can't win.

I am happy for you and your new babies!

I bet they are soooo cute!

;)

I am the proud Mama of two MASSIVE Comets, and one delicious rainbow coloured Betta.

The Betta is relatively new. about three weeks. The Comets are one and two years old.

So far, I have had more luck by not trying to figure them out LOL. The thing I have noticed, is that the less I mess with their environment, (save water changes and monthly vacuuming,) the happier they are.

Thank Goodness!

Starfish And Barely There Rule The Underworld! LOL

It Was My Husbands Idea To Get Our Oscar A Friend. He Thought It High Time To Stop Cairn From Acting Like A Plecostumus:D

What Are You Feeding Your Betta, Barely There?

Mine Goes Quite Wild When I Feed Him Leftover Beefheart!

those fish are pussies

Get a Largemouth Bass for your fish tank! I did, it was fun, I used to buy a bunch of Goldfish at the local petshops and then throw them in with the Bass and watch the shiny little scales fly as the Bass had it's breakfast! :D

Pussies? I Think NOT!

10 Medium Goldfish Gone In Less Than two Hours Is Pussy Like?

I Was Fishing Last Week At My Daddys Pond And Caught A Fairly Small Largemouth. He Woulda Been A Perfect Size NOT Ta Get Eaten By Cairn, And Thought About Taking Him Home Fer A Tankmate! No Go. He Would Just Leap Outta The Tank! LOL Sides Wild Fish Have Parasites And Other Ickyness AND Wild Should Stay Wild. It Would Be Mean To Take Him Out Of A Grand, Large Pond And Into A 65gl Tank:(

What Happened To Yer Largmouth?

Largemouth Bass love jumping, it probably had nothing to do with you're oscar, they just love to leap so you need a cover for the tank.

I got it fairly small (5 inches) and watched him grow to a good 16-inches or so and a couple pounds. The week I decided he had gotten to big for the tank I set a date too release him back into a local pond, like a day or two before that he died. :(

My Bass would eat a solid dozen goldfish and probably would have eaten more if I could afford to feed him more that that per sitting than what I did.
