This game will take place in an alternate universe of the one George Lucas created. The Jedi Order is still much the same, however mating IS allowed as long as it is between two knights. A male and female Jedi may even get married and have children, thus adding numbers to the Order when the kids are old enough to start training. And you are allowed possessions. You can have a family quarters to raise your family, and the children can have toys and people can have books and play video games and all these good things, as long as it does not conflict with their training. Children start attending classes at the Academy when they turn four, and then when they complete the Junior Trials (usually around age ten), they are paired with a Jedi Master. The kids still live at home, but sometimes they leave for several weeks at a time on training missions with their Master. They still take classes at the Academy, in a classroom with only themselves and their Master. On weekends, many young Jedi get together and have parties or get-togethers. However, there is never any negative substances -- alcohol and drugs of any kind are strictly forbidden among the Jedi, as is any food or drink that could be considered harmful to the body.

The Jedi Tower acts as the headquarters of the Order, and the 12 Elders sit in the High Council Chamber on the top floor. Right next to the 30 story tower lies the Jedi Academy, a very large building where all Jedi are trained. The South Wing schools the younger children, the West and East Wings school the students who are young in their training but under a single Master, and the North Wing schools older Jedi who have shown great talent and are at least fifteen years old.

Upon preparing for the Junior Trials, Padawan and Master go to the Jedi Temple, located near Mount Zalard -- just north of the Tower and Academy. After being blessed in the Temple, the student and Master, along with four Elders, travel through the Temple and into the Cavern of Trials, just behind the Temple. Here they undergo a series of tests, and are judged by the Elders. After a 48 hours discussion period, the Elders announce their decision. Should the student fails, he is eligible to retake the Trials in one year. This is the same for the Jedi Trials when the student is an adult.

Master Yoda and Master Mace Windu do exist in this universe, and they are the two Head Elders of the Jedi Order, and many other characters from the other timeline exist in this universe. However, the Sith is a little different. The Sith is lead by an evil Jedi Master and his chosen Padawan, and numerous warriors, soldiers, and fallen Jedi are their followers.

The Jedi Order and the Sith Cult are the ultimate marks of good and evil in the world. The Light Side of the Force and the Dark Side of the Force.

Mount Zalard stands on the west coast of the continent of Kesana, near the Zenna Ocean. Next to Mount Zalard, along with the Jedi Temple, Tower, and Academy, lie shops and homes for the Jedi people. This entire area is protected by think steel walls that are always guarded, and is refered to as the Jedi Colony. The planet is Solani, and the Jedi work very closely with the Galactic Republic, who also have their headquarters on Solani.

Between the Jedi Knights and the Republic military, justice is brought to most of the universe. Many Jedi and Republic bases are dotted all over the universe, but hidden Sith bases exist as well.

For this game, the Sith Master is Darth Malak, and his Padawan is Darth Sidious. It is universal year 3019, universal month Six (June).

As for the story for this game, everyone make your own original characters, between ages 18 and 21. All characters must be with the Jedi Order (for now), and they are all celebrating passing the Trials and becoming Jedi Knights. They all had their tests the same day, and thus they are all celebrating together. Then we'll go from there. I'll post my character first.

Name: Maximillian Kheldar
Age: 18
Alignment: Light Side of the Force
Former Master: Obi-Wan Kenobi
Weapons: Crystal Lightsaber (Green), Blaster Pistol

Appearance: Max stands at about six feet and four inches, with jet black hair that hangs down in front of his skyblue eyes. His body is well-toned and his skin lightly tanned. He usually wears dark brown pants and boots, with a dark brown long sleeve shirt and a light brown tunic over that. His lightsaber and blaster pistol are hidden by his light brown robe when on the go, and he keeps a dagger tucked inside his boot, just in case.

Background: Max's father, Nathaniel, is also a Jedi, and himself trained under Obi-Wan Kenobi. Max's mother, Kitara, was KIA when he was seven. This troubled his father, and Nathaniel started showing signs of intense anger. He recovered, and somehow regained his peaceful state of mind.
Max become Obi-Wan's Padawan when he was ten, and now that he is 18, he has just taken and passed the Jedi Trials.

Everyone post your characters and then I'll make the starting IC post.

It may be turning people off because allowing Jedi's to have family would cloud their judgement and therefore limit their abilities. I'd be interested in joining a Star Wars one if I could find one I like, but this one just doesn't catch it for me. Maybe I'm just and over-zealous fan though, lol. I'm sure some people will be interested. Luck.

Yea, I do see your point. However, in this universe, the Jedi can only have families within the Order. Imagine if a male jedi and a female jedi mated? Imagine the power of the offspring? The Jedi in this universe are very powerful because the midi-chlorians are like handed down from generation to generation. Plus this way, the jed can constantly add to their numbers, because of babies being born into the Order. And obviously, all of them have high midi-chlorian counts because they're all born to Jedi families. Relationships with others outside the Order -- unless just friends -- are strictly forbidden. If a male Jedi falls in love with a woman outside the Order, that may draw him away. However, a man can be as intimate as he wishes with a woman within the Order, marry her, and have kids that will also join the Order when they are Four. See, you say that a man having a son would affect his judgement. Well, don't Master's care for their Padawans as sons? Jedi in the real universe have families too -- each other.

I'll join, if you need some other people -

Give me about a day or so to re-read what ya want.

-K!
