((OOC Thread

Four thousand years before the battle of Naboo and the Clone Wars, the Jedi Revan and Malak, heroes of the Mandalorian War (a bloody conflict instigated by an unidentified group within the Unknown Regions known only as the "True Sith"), fell to the dark side and founded a new Sith Empire. Using the ancient Rakatan Star Forge factory, they built a massive war fleet and began attacking the Old Republic. Thus began the second Sith War, later called the Jedi Civil War (and, still later, the War of the Star Forge), a conflict that proved even more devastating than Exar Kun's war as more Jedi fell to the dark side, were killed in battle, or were murderered by Sith Assassins.

Revan was the greatest military genius the Jedi had ever seen. It was through her cunning alone that the Mandalorian Wars had been won, as the Old Republic soon discovered. During the Mandalorian Wars, Revan and Malak had discovered a mysterious force called the so-called True Sith in the Unknown Regions, and were therefore careful to preserve the Republic's shipyards to use against this threat once they had conquered the galaxy.

After an attempted coup by Malak, however, Revan's mind was destroyed and she was captured by the Jedi. She was re-trained in their ways and sent against his traitorous apprentice. Taking up the mantle of Dark Lord, Malak redoubled his empire's offenses against the Old Republic, no longer caring about preserving his enemy's resources. Following a long and arduous quest for the five Star Maps that would lead her to the Sith's stronghold, the new Revan led a frontal assault on the Star Forge. She battled her way through the Forge's droid army and legions of Sith and Dark Jedi. After redeeming Malak's apprentice, Bastila Shan, she slew Malak herself in a final confrontation between the two old friends, allowing the Old Republic to destroy the Star Forge and win the day.

Sadness grew, as Revan told her fellows that she must go to destroy the Sith threat once and for all, leaving no whereabouts of where he went.

Despite this great victory won for the Old Republic by Revan, the galaxy soon grew even darker. Barely a hundred Jedi remained after the Jedi Civil War, and those who did soon found their ranks thinning at an alarming rate. Everywhere Jedi congregated, they were murdered, struck down by an invisible enemy who, incredibly enough, was somehow attacking them through the Force itself. Darth Nihilus, the Lord of Hunger, and Darth Sion, Lord of Pain, were students of Revan's former Jedi Master, Kreia (now a Sith called Darth Traya, Lady of Betrayal), had begun a shadow war against the surviving Jedi. Despite their incredible powers, they did not believe themselves strong enough to defeat the Jedi in the same kind of open warfare employed by Revan and Malak. (Revan himself had disappeared into the Unknown Regions a year after the destruction of the Star Forge, hoping to put an end to the ever-present threat posed by the mysterious True Sith, and has not been heard from since.)

Five years after Malak's defeat on the Star Forge, a Jedi exile who had served Revan as a general during the Mandalorian Wars returned from the Outer Rim to find the Jedi Order virtually extinct. Thought to be the last of the Jedi by Nihilus and Sion, the exile was hunted mercilessly by Sith Assassins from planet to planet as the "last of the Jedi" tracked down the surviving members of the Jedi Council. In the end, several of these Jedi were killed, but the exile managed to turn the tide against the shadow Sith, killing Nihilus, Sion, and Traya in battle, thereby ending their Jedi purge and giving the Jedi Order a chance to rebuild.

Twenty years have now passed and the Jedi Order has rebuilt somewhat. The training center on Dantooine has been rebuilt, and the students of the Exile along with the few remaining masters have trained a whole new generation of Jedi Knights.

But now there is a new threat...

The Republic and the Jedi Order are once more under siege. Convoys have gone missing, entire fleets have vanished, and whole worlds seem to have disappeared from the Force itself.

The Jedi can feel the Force dying all around them. Meanwhile, the Republic has discovered a massive fleet of warships, forming at the Outer Rim. Raiding parties have revealed it to be the coming invasion of the True Sith.

To combat this threat, a small detachment of Jedi and Republic troops have been dispatched to beyond the Outer Rim in a desperate attempt to locate the Prodigal Knight Revan, and bring her back to save the Republic once more.
---------
The sunrises over Dantooine were always breath taking. The planet seemd to be in an eternal springtime, with life and warmth everywhere. The numerous life forms, from docile grazing beasts to the savage Kath hounds all the way down to the tinest blade of grass made up a rich tapestry of the Force.

Delken Brom sat on a high hilltop watching the Dantooine sunrise. He always found himself here at sunrise, ever since he was a young child. It was his place of refuge and peace, where the stress and pressures of being a Jedi couldn't reach.

He had come to the temple long after it had been rebuilt by the Jedi Exile, it's great halls and noble statues restored to their former glory. The attacks commited by Darth Malak had left the temple grounds in ruins, and slaughtered almost every single Knight, but the order had endured, and the temple had been remade. Delken remembered a Master speaking of how the Force sets everything right in due time.

But it was time the young Jedi was concerned with. He had been selected for a special mission by request of the Republic as well as the Jedi Council. A small, hand-picked team would take a ship, and venture into uncharted terriotories to search for a single Jedi. Revan. The greatest Jedi of the age. And Revan had to be found and retrieved before the growing armada that massed at the Outer Rim began it's invasion of Republic space.

Reports had been sketchy, but what was known was that a fleet of ships had begun to form beyond the known territories and was growing everyday. New fighters and capital starships seemed to arrive every day, yet a full-scale attack had yet to begin.

The galaxy was faced with war again.

Delken rose to his feet, his lightsaber floating up from the thick grass to meet his hand. Clipping the weapon to his belt, Delken turned back towards the temple. He was meeting the rest of the team today. And his guess was that it was going to be a very long day too.

Ramza Orlandau's booted feet made little noise on the tiled ceramsteel floor of the Academy's hallway. Delken had risen already, greeting the sun as he always did, Ramza could feel his presence. Ramza had only returned to Dantooine last night, and already he was leaving again, though not alone this time. The mission they'd recieved was grave, but it also excited the young Jedi more than a little. To find Revan, the great strategist, the hermit knight. The pivot point around which everything in the last 30 years had turned.

As he walked into the garden on his way to the launchpad where The Void Strider waited, a shadow flickered past on the path ahead of him. Ramza didn't feel anything through the Force...he continued walking, a smile coming to his face.

He threw himself backward just in time to avoid a crushing ax kick, going into a series of handsprings to put distance between him and his assailant. The figure was slightly shorter than he, garbed in robes of grey and white, a hood pulled over it's face. The attacker's movements were graceful and precise, no weapon in the gloved hands. It rose, assuming a stance known only to the Echani and their students.

Ramza's feet glided apart, settling into a similar stance, the small smile still on his pale features. He suddenly bolted forward, hands flashing out in a series of quick, testing blows. The grey robed enemy danced through the blows, hammering the young knight with a shoulder check. Ramza went with the motion, grabbing the loose folds of the gray clock and rolling onto his back, heaving with his legs to throw his opponent into the nearby garden wall.

The combatants rose, moving at the same instant to attack one another again. Fists moving faster than many sentients could perceive were dodged and turned aside as they moved together in a dance of war that was as beautiful as a rainbow and as deadly as an avalanche. The two broke apart suddenly, sweat on Ramza's forehead, the shoulders of both heaving.

The gray robe shook it's head, then raised it's right arm. There was a distinctive snap-hiss, and the scent of ozone as a blue-white tongue of energy erupted from end of the metal cylinder it held. Ramza reached to his side, pulling a similar tube in his right hand, save that this one was more compact, and had metal curved about it to form a basket around the hand. In the basket was a trigger, much like that of a blaster. He pulled the trigger, and a moment later a scintillating emerald blade cut into the air, humming as he held it steady.

The two leaped toward one another, the crack of energy on energy splitting the morning calm as the blades clashed. Ramza's blade shifted slightly in elegant grace, deflecting the crushing strikes of his foe, then flicking forward to lash at the enemy's limbs, forcing it to give ground or parry. Barely awake apprentices and temple workers gawked at the sight, a few running off to tell thier masters of the altercation. The hooded figure looked in their direction, and a rueful chuckle emerged from the depths of the hood. Turning with sudden speed, it struck Ramza's saber with terrific force, the jet haired fighter staggering back. The attacker was on him in an instant, blue blade hammering at his saber, driving him further back. Ramza continued to give ground, then as he raised his weapon to block a heavy blow, the emeald blade vanished. Expecting to meet resistence, the gray robe stretched out just a little too far, as Ramza snapped the balde back on, swing down and halting it just as it singed the fabric above his foe's elbows.

The two stayed frozen in that pose for long, tense seconds, the very air seeming to hold its' breath awaiting the next move. Then the blue saber died, Ramza's blade hissing into stillness as well. They both stood, Ramza bowing to the gray robed warrior, "You were too easy on me, Master." "But I am pleased to see you too."

There was another chuckle, louder this time. Gloved hands drew back the hood, revealing the face of a human woman in her 40's, her features still carrying a dignified beauty. Her hair had always been white, but where it was once short, it now fell to her jawline. "I thought your time on Alderaan might make you soft, young Jedi." "I'm glad to see I was wrong."

Ramza shook his head, "My people are warrior, Master, much as yours." "Though I will admit I had less time spent in arms that I anticipated." He shrugged, "Politics seem to have mellowed considerably from my youth, I only had to participate in one duel."

"Peace is returning to the galaxy, my young apprentice." Master Brianna, once called Handmaiden, smiled, "if only for a little while." "You should cherish it, such moments are fleeting in the life of a Jedi."

"Of course, Master." Ramza hooked his lightsaber back in place on his belt. "I take it word of the mission that Delken and I have been given has reached you?"

Master Brianna regarded him for a long moment. "Allow me to walk you to your ship, young Jedi." The two began to walk away from the muttering and still confused crowd that had gathered, toward the landing pad. "I fear this will lead you into great temptation, Ramza." "You and Revan have much in common."

Ramza nodded, "But I am not Revan." "I know how Revan's story has unfolded, and the folly of the path she took." He hesitated a moment, then continued, "I also have the benefit of your tutelage, Master." "Unlike many Jedi, I know that my emotions can be a strength, not a weakness." "I know the temptation that I will face, and that I can fall to it." "I'm not arrogant enough to think otherwise."

His master quirked one eyebrow, "That remains to be seen." She sighed, "I have faith in you, young one, but remember than emotion can be a strength, but shold never be allowed to dominate you." She favored him with a rare smile, "Nor should you seek to solve every problem with your arm and saber."

Ramza felt a bit chagrined at that. He did have a tendency to prefer force to stealth or guile. "I know, Master." "I have been trying to improve on that score." "I am certain Delken will be able to help me keep my blade at peace until it is truly needed."

"He will help, but remember when in doubt, to listen to the Force." She laid a hand of surprising strength on his shoulder, "All the answers lie there, and it will not lead you astray." "Now," she swept ahead of him, "let us see if your companions have arrived." "When all are ready, I will reveal as much of your mission to them as is wise."

Jairania Orgunna, Jedi Guardian and Knight of the Jedi Order, had awoken earlier than she usually did today, and with good reason. Today was when the Young Jedi was to meet the rest of her team, which was charged with a highly important mission, on which the fate of the entire galaxy hung: Find the Jedi Revan, and return her home.

Dressed in her standard black robes, the petite Jedi was inwardly excited. This was, after all, her first real adventure. How ever, she restrained this excitement, for she knew all too well what it could potentially lead to if left unchecked.

After doing some standard exercises, she too headed off to the designated meeting area to at last see who her companions would be in this most noble and important endeavor.

Tanya scowled as she watched the exchange between Master Brianna and Ramza, she knew they were talking about the mission. THE mission, possibly the most important mission since the destruction of the Star Forge; the mission that all the Padawans were talking about, and the mission that the newly nighted Tanya was turned down for.

The masters told Tanya that even though she had attained nighthood, she was still not ready to be going on such a mission, she was too emotional. Too easily excited, too prone to anger. The Master's told her that her emotional depth was her greatest strength, but until she learned to control it would be her greatest weakness, there would be other tasks that could teach her that skill, the Revan mission, the worst kept secret in the academy, was too dangerous for her. They were afraid of loosing her to the darkside forever.

Tanya wasn't mad at the masters, they were just looking out for her, but they were being silly... Jedi Masters were always silly, always worrying too much, like one mistake would destroy the whole galaxy, afraid to live life. Some day when she lead the Jedi Council, things would change, she'd make the Jedi order lighten up, and it'd be more like Nomi Sunrider's time when Jedi could marry and training was more open.

But if she was ever going to have a chance of her deam of leading the council, she had to prove herself and that left the Revan mission. "RT?" she inquired on her commlink, and got a reply of beeps.

"Have you put the hyperspace tracking beacon on the Void Striker?" another set of chirps responded.

"Good, get the Fox's engines warmed up, I'll be there shortly."

No one was going to stop Tanya from leaving world, she had her mission, to aid one of the senate members in a difficult negotiation, by the time they realized she hadn't arrived it would be too late to stop her.

Delken approched the Void Strider in time to see Master Brianna speaking with Ramzu. The lovely, white haired master had been one of the founding members of the new Jedi Order, trained by the Jedi known only as the Exile. It was her, along with some of the Exile's other students who had helped rebuild the Order and the Temple. Thanks to her efforts, the Jedi Order was once again something to be respected in the galaxy. Brianna had taken a special intrest in Delken and Ramzu at an early age, and had always been a source of great knowledge and guidence to the young Jedi. She was also the finest saber duelist alive, a title Delken hoped to achieve for himself one day.

Coming up behind Ramzu, Delken nudged his friends shoulder and gave him a good natured grin. Ramzu and he had grown up together and earned their Knighthood at roughly the same time. He was the closest thing Delken had ever had to a brother. Delken had been delighted that they'd both been chosen for the mission.

Bowing his head low, Delken removed the hood of the simple brown robes he wore and smiled at Brianna.

"Master Brianna. It's always a pleasure to see you." He greeted her, standing alongside Ramzu as they approched the Void Strider.

"And a good morning to you Jedi Delken" Brianna returned the bow and the smile. It had been several months since he was promoted to Knight, but Delken still couldn't get over how much he was glad to be rid of the name Padawan.

"I suppose we're a bit early" Delken noted, "The others should be along soon though"

He hoped they would at least. He was eager to leave on his mission. All his life he had studied and followed the career of the Jedi Revan. Said to be beautiful, and powerful beyond all measure, she was the Jedi who had saved the Republic, turned to the Dark Side and nearly destroyed it, only to finally be its ultimate salavation. And now, with this mission, the young Knight had a chance to find this legend of the Order, and perhaps become a hero of the Republic himself.

Juukan Coruna sat on the bridge of the ship his people had built. He was busy running diagnostics and making last minute repairs to the ship. It wouldn’t be easy for him and his only friend to pilot the ship. They’d need to find a crew, and a fairly large one at that. By his estimates, while the ship could theoretically be run by a bridge crew of 15, it would make more sense to have more crewmembers, both as backups and to run other systems on the ship. The two of them would be pushing the limits piloting the ship alone, but they’d manage. They’d have to, as they didn’t know the state of affairs in the galaxy at the moment. Right now, the only other person on the ship was in the engine room, running checks down there. They would be ready to launch in roughly an hour, provided there was nothing wrong with the ship. An ancient Mandalorian design, the ship was powerful and well armored, but it would most decidedly be slow. That wouldn’t stop it, however. And besides, they might be able to refit it with newer engines at a shipyard, he thought.

As he checked the diagnostics, Juukan found that all systems were working normally. That was a surprise, considering the ship was technically a prototype. Of course, it was definitely a welcome surprise, all things considered. They had moved all of their things into the crew quarters, and then had spent the last thirty-six hours doing diagnostics and preflight. Better to be safe than sorry, he thought. He thumbed the activation of the intraship communication system, and spoke into the pickup. “Loran, how do things look in the engine room?”

Loran Tamassi

I heard the question through the intercomm. Everything was moved, I had moved all the equipment I had rebuilt with us. I left my blue-gray armor up at the bridge with the rest of my clothing and simple stuff in my quarters. I said into my mike, "it's fine here, I think we're ready to go, I'll be up in the bridge in a few."

Punching out of the diagnostics program, I looked at the inside of the engines, they were quite beautiful, hopefully the engines would be able to hold a good hyperspace jump. I checked the hyperdrive "the hyperdrive's good too Juukan."

I walked out and stepped into a pod that sent me racing to the other end of the ship. Once there, I stepped out and walked into a lift, "the bridge," I said. The lift brought me to the bridge and I walked out "we're ready to go, only question is, where do we go from here?"

Juukan nodded, then thought for a moment. He had been busy studying old astronavigational charts. He had been asking himself that same question, and he had come up with only one option. They should head towards the Core worlds, maybe towards Coruscant. They needed to get a crew. Of course, they could probably find that on Coruscant, but then again, he thought they might do better going to Mon Calamari. The shipyards there might help, and they'd need to get the ship registered anyways. He sat back in the captain's chair, thinking.

"There's a lot of choices we could make. We need a crew. We could probably get that on Coruscant, or Mon Calamari. But I'm worried about too many questions being asked at either. You might know better the state of affairs, what do you think?"

Resk Dingar (Outside the Void Striker)

Resk was impressed. Dantooine was actually a pretty beautiful place. Lots of grass, sun, and trees, it was a big change from the cold, metallic world Telos projected. He shuffled his feet, waiting at the launch pad for the final order to board. If he remembered his briefings, there would be at least a few Jedi on board, although he wasn't sure how many other soldiers would be sent along.

He glanced at the jedi near the pad, talking amongst themselves. He never understood why they inspired just mixed emotions. Okay, yeah, they were pretty secretive, but he believed they had the Republic's best interests at heart. Maybe he was just naive, but he looked up to them, in a way.

And now he had his chance to help out. Isn't this what he signed up for? Help the Republic, see more of the galaxy, do something good and have some adventure? Yeah... but he was still a little nervous. He always felt out of place when in the presence of superiors, especially those noted for both their wisdom and their ability.

Right, stay focused. They wouldn't have allowed you to come if they didn't think you had something to offer, even if it was just more muscle. Just believe in yourself, right? He tipped his head back and took in the warmth of the sun - it was unlikely he'd experience it again anytime soon once they had left the atmosphere.

Tanya boarded the Twilight Fox tore towards the bridge and slumped down in the pilot/captain chair, RT came up beside her and chirped.

"RT calculate a hyperspace route to Courascant."

RT chirped inquistivly.

"No we're still going after the Striker, but I have to make it at least look like I'm going ot meet the Senator," She stared out of the cockpit at the other ship. "Why dosn't it move!" she chuckled to herself. "Paitence, Paitence, Paitience. Calm, feel the living force."

Tanya knew the force was guiding her on this mission, not just her own pride... She sat down and waited for the Striker to take off.

Ramza nodded to his friend, a small smile on his face. He could feel an excitment no greater than his own, but less bridled within Delken. Dangerous. This was going to test them both, this mission, and tempt them. He'd have to keep an eye on his friend. For all his admirible qualities, Delken cared a great deal about becoming a "hero of the Republic." Dreaming and hoping was all well and good, but such things could become tainted with envy and pride.

Master Brianna smiled at Delken, "Patience, young Jedi." "Remember your training, focus on the here and now, not the future." She was worried about him too. As aggressive as Ramza could be, Delken had a tendency to loose focus on the present as he thought of what might be. He also hungered for fame and recognition. "If you would, you would notice that one of your team has already arrived, indeed, beaten us here."

She walked around and under the ship, moving to where Resk stood, basking in the sunlight. Ramza followed behind her, now noticing the soldier. This one was in the information he'd been given. Resk.

"Lieutenant Resk Dingar." Master Brianna bowed, "I am Master Brianna of the Jedi Order." "These are my former students, Ramza and Delken." "They will be accompanying you on your mission."

Ramza bowed as well, then straighted and offered his hand to the Republic warrior. "Ramza Orlandau, Lieutenant." "I am honored to meet you." "Your service record is impressive." "It is a comfort to know that my ship and I will be in the company of an accomplished soldier such as yourself."

Hmmm...

Warmth, nice and gentle against her bare skin. She turned again in the warmth. She didn't want it to end. Then she bumped into something. Or rather, someone. Katalin opened her eyes and noticed a young man beside her. Damnit... She pushed the sheets off her and stepped out of the bed. It was cold, but it didn't bother her.

She got dressed quickly and searched through his clothes. She found a small bag with credits and took it. It was the price to pay for her... services. Katalin grinned and exited the room. She was already late. Katalin hastely ate some bread and left the bar. She was in a great hurry.

It took her just under an hour to reach her destination. Katalin hoped that no one would notice her being late.

She searched for the ship, and found it pretty easy to locate. Katalin watched the few people that had already arrived. It was time for her to show up too. Moving silently (which was difficult with the bag of credits she now had on her), she approached the ship.

She searched for the captain, hoping to find him pretty swiftly.

He wasn't exactly sure of the proper protocol, snapping to salute the Jedi as they drew near. Ramza extended his hand, and he returned the handshake. "Thank you, sir, I won't let you down." An accomplished soldier? Impressive service record? He was a bit surprised, but pleasantly so. He hoped his superiors hadn't padded his record.

"Everything should be ready shortly. I believe we're just waiting for the final arrivals, sir." The Jedi had that knowing air about them, so he had a feeling they already knew that. He still felt a little unsure of himself in their presence, that odd bit of confidence in them and a slight lack of such in himself making for an odd mixture of emotion.

Jairania arrived at the landing pad a few minutes after setting out. How ever, it appeared she was a bit late, as everyone, or almost everyone in the party was almost here. Despite her self-conceived tardiness, she was determined to remain calm.

A young woman (Katalin) had arrived at the same time she had, so she decided it was best to start with her. Composing the most polite voice she could put on, as well as a beautiful smile, she walked over to Katalin and extended her hand.

"Greetings," she said.

Katalin looked in surprise at the hand extend towards her. She followed the hand into an arm, a shoulder, and then a face. Judging by the sound of the voice, it belonged to a woman. Katalin looked at her face, before sizing her up. Her body was concealed by robes, black robes at that.

Katalin stared at the stranger's face and took in all details. Blue eyes, blond hair, earrings. Quite cute... She thought, sinking a little into deep thoughts. She shook if off, this wasn't the time.

She took the offered hand and shook it. "Greetings too. Are you by any chance the captain?"

"I'm pretty sure we could find some spacers out of Nar Shadaa but I don't know if we want to deal with pirates. " I thought about it for a moment "If we go to Manaan, that might give us some better leads. They're a peaceful place, and we shouldn't have too much trouble with getting new maps from them."

I looked at Juukan, wondering what he was thinking. I holstered my two heavy blasters, I felt weird without them. "then again Manaan's also an official port, but I'd rather deal with an official port than deal with pirates, and smugglers, once they find out its' only us two, we're dead, besides Manaan's a neutral world."

Delken gave Desk and Ramzu a hand, loading the bags of those present onto a loading platform. The droid operator lifted the meger possessions they were bringing with them into the belly of the Void Strider.

There was a twinge in the Force, like a warm breeze, calling Delken's attention to the two new arrivals to the landing pad. One was a young woman, whose jet black hair and snow-white eyes made her quite striking. The other was Jairania.

She was a fellow Corellian, and a fellow Guardian as well. He respeted the girl's skills and abilities greatly as she was afterall, one of the best duelists of any students at the Academy, behind himself and Ramzu only. She was beautiful as well and possesed the Corellian will and spirit. Having her on this trip would be distracting, but they needed her skill, that was unavoidable.

Laying a hand on the hilt of his lightsaber, Delken took a step on board the Strider. The ship was spacious enough for them to be comfortable, with crew quarters, a kitchen, even a workshop and a make-shift training area in the cargo hold. The young Jedi smiled at this thought. He hated missing out on his training, and he knew Ramzu was the same.

The two had been engaged in regular saber duels ever since they'd first built their weapons. Ramzu was a constant source of competition, always forcing Delken to push himself farther and harder. The scores of their mock battles had been dead-even until Delken had mastered Form V.

The two weary duelists circled each other, saber's held at the ready. They were both visably exhausted, the thick brown Padawan robes were heavy with sweat.

Delken clutched his saber tightly in both hands, angeling the blade upward into an aggressive back position. Spreading his feet out for balance, he brought the lightsaber up beside his face, the tip facing directly foreword. The searing electric hum of his blade so close to his face brought his focus back.

Ramzu's style had improved so much. His angles were sharp and clean, his defense was solid...his training had really yeilded results.

Delken leapt foreword, maintaining his stance as he brought the saber up in a wide sweeping arc, his blade crashing down on Ramzu's in a shower of sparks.

Shaking the memories of the duel off, Delken moved towards his quarters, a smile playing on his face. He remembered who won that little skirmish.

"Ramzu! Let's get this bucket up and moving. We have another passenger to pick up"

Juukan nodded, then smiled. He got up from the captain's chair and moved over to the navigation station. He touched a few controls, and the ship's antigrav units started up. The ship was designed at the height of Mandalorian power, and as such, it didn't use repulsorlifts, relying instead on an antigravity field to lift the ship. He nodded again, then turned to set a course for once they achieved orbit. "So, Manaan it is. We'll just tell them we need to register the ship, and then look for a crew for it. I was thinking we could call it The Pheonix. It's a name I found in the old databases, some kind of Avian creature."

"Me? By no means. I am Jairania Orgunna, Knight of the Jedi Order." She replied, shaking her hand, still smiling warmly. "I assume you're another member of the team assembled to find Revan, then?"

Jairana asked politely. Though not totally against the concept, she wondered why the Council would allow non-Force Sensitives to be part of this important mission, because of the potential for them to be harmed and get in the way. Still, in the classical Jedi fashion, Jairania repressed any negative feelings about the girl in front of her.

She took the offered hand and shook it. "Greetings too. Are you by any chance the captain?"

The sudden rumbling of the ship behind him caught his attention. Were they getting ready to launch? He glanced around - most had already boarded, save the two talking amongst themselves. More Jedi? He wasn't sure, but at least one of them had that air about her.

He made his way over to the two women. He snapped out another salute - man, he was nervous, he didn't know how he was supposed to greet Jedi. Then he reminded himself they were deserving of such regards whether or not he was officially expected to give them or not. "Ah, excuse me, I'm sorry to intrude, but I believe we'll be leaving soon. Perhaps we should make our way on board?"

I nodded, "nice name,"and punched in the hyperspace route. I turned to Juukan as I sat down in the navigator's chair. "We'll have to make a couple of stops in realspace for readjustments in order to make it to Manaan."

I waited as the navicomputer fed me a course for the fastest route away from the gravitational influence of the small planet I had called home for the past 11 years. I gave Juukan the course heading and we waited for a bit. The ship was new, but still moved somewhat slow. It wasn't the fastest, certainly not the famous Ebon Hawk that my parents used to talk about. I hit the hyperdrive switch the moment we moved out of the gravitational shadow. The stars sled and became white lines and we were in hyperspace, a place I had not been in a long time.

Sitting around for the next few hours, I read most of the status reports from the hyperdrives and life support, hoping the ship would hold together. The controls beeped at me and I hit the reversion switch. Bringing us back into normal space. I told Juukan the next heading and I hit the switch again, bringing us back into the endless white of hyperspace. Some people said it was beautiful, I've also heard some older Mandalorians talk about how it reminded them of the glory of battle.

Reverting into realspace for one last time, I called into Selkath authorities. "This is the ship, Pheonix, requesting a docking berth." A Selkath replied, they didn't seem too happy. "We're a neutral vessel, we're here for registration and looking for a crew." I sent them the information and we waited for a while. Finally they gave us the berth. I gave the coordinates to Juukan and he piloted it down.

I looked to him after we set down, "you think we should get in our crusader armor?"

Juukan nodded, then started the process of piloting the ship to the surface. It was a big ship, and it would probably have been better to stay in space, but the shipyards on this particular world were groundbased. Still, it would give them a good chance to study the lay of the land, as it were. As he set the ship down, he turned back to Loran, and smiled. "Good question. Armor only, and a cloak. Then again, we might want to avoid the armor, and only carry a couple of blaster pistols. We'll decide when we go out."

I laughed "well, I don't know about you, but I don't go anywhere without my pistols at the least."

I got up and strapped my rifle to my back "so we're off?"

Tanya was now in orbit and she scoweld at the readings she got from her beacon, "Manaan," she said to herself. "RT you sure you put the beacon on properly? they were supposed to be heading to the Rim, not further towards the core."

The Droid beeped in an insulted tone.

"Alright, alright... I guess they're picking something or someone up, well I'm not just going to sit here and wait either. Set course for Manaan."

RT made the proper calculations and the Twlight Fox made the jump to hyperspace.

OOC: I hope to have Tanya actually interact with the rest of the cast soon, see you on Manaan.

Juukan nodded, putting a blaster in his belt, and then pulling a cloak around his shoulders. He kept the hood down, and then started for the lift that would take them from the bridge down to the main level. From there, it would be easy to get to the ground. "I'd say we should be extremely careful. We don't know who all we'll meet."
