Can someone be limited to only one comfortable long term friend?

I do look forward to Star Wars movies more than Star Trek movies. Not sure which one I've spent more hours watching though.

no option for both? if you love one gotta love the other but Star Trek was the original for me, and while the original Star wars movie blew me away, I always had a thing for green women so have to go with Kirk.

Part of the reason this question always irks me is that I've known a lot of cops, and one that worked sexual offences made a comment over beers that stayed niggled in my noggin.

"We really only have one question when we investigate pedo's...Star Trek or Star Wars?"

When I was in the collectibles biz I preferred the Star wars crowd. They spent. A Star Wars geek would spend twenty dollars on a bag of my dog's hair if I said it was from a Wookie. The Star Trek crowd should have been arrested for holding all the dead presidents hostage in their wallets.

As for my preference...I'd say about even, but in both cases original. The original three Star Wars movies(as in 4-6 because you know...) and the first Trek series. The next SW movies and every ST since has been cash cows and milking a franchise.

I never got into Star Wars. So, it's Star Trek (the entire franchise except DS9 - which was awful) for me.

An honorable mention goes to the Stargate franchise.

None of the above.

Although I do enjoy the new Star Trek movies. Chris Pine is kinda hot. And that one with Benedict Cumberbatch - mmmm, yummy. :)

and star gate is only good when mili avital is on screen though it is noteworthy for being one of the few bearable roland emerich movies. the show is only interesting as occasionally moderately interesting background noise.

I can honestly say that I've never seen a Star Trek episode - any version - all the way through. And I've only seen the two Chris Pine movies.

Growing up, Star Trek was just a stupid campy version of Land of the Lost.

Star Trek, by far.

The original show was groundbreaking in multiple areas and the only thing you can possibly credit Star Wars for is advances in special effects (which were amazing).

The one with the overly cocky spaceship captain and his taciturn alien sidekick.
