As I look over the many threads knowing I can't read and contribute to them all I wanted to share this legend of St Valentine I came accross.

It is just that, I don't claim to know if he really is a Saint, I don't delve into any organized religion, I believe in some things, so I leave you with this today, in the small hope that those who need it will find it. That those who cry out will hear it, and that those who need to be reminded will know.

Valentine Was A Roman Physician. He Was A Kind-Hearted Soul With A Purported Love Of Food, Making A Special Effort To Offer His Patients Medicines That Tasted Delicious. In A Time When It Was Decidedly Unpopular, Valentine Was A Devoted Christian And Was Martyred For Refusing To Give Up His Religion. He Died On February 14, 269 A.D. Legend Also Says That St. Valentine Left A Farewell Note For The Jailer's Daughter, Who Had Become His Friend And Patient Whom He Treated For Blindness Before His Imprisonment. The Jailer Delivered The Note To His Daughter After Valentine's Execution. When She Opened The Note, She Discovered A Yellow Crocus Inside. The Message Said, "From Your Valentine." As She Looked Down Upon The Flower That Fell Into Her Hand She Saw Brilliant Colors For The First Time In Her Life! The Girl's Eyesight Was Restored! A miracle!! In 496 A.D. Pope Gelasius Set Aside February 14 To Honor St. Valentine.
