and the sap is running...

sorry that's all I got.

is it a redneck trailer trash sort of park or one filled with sedate secretly sexy seniors?

I could see a trailer park as a hotbed of sexual energy, and a ripe setting for plenty of raunchy fun. Until the tornado shows up, of course......

What I find interesting:

From an outside perspective (I´m German) the US trailer park setting smells like a lot of fun, because the social rules and restrictions seem to be weaker at the low end of the social order. But in contrary the poor neighbourhoods we have in our own country seem much less attractive for a story background to me.

I guess this is the byproduct of the countless US movies I have seen, but I am not sure. Maybe its also that in a densely populated country there is much less space for redneck spots completely forgotten by everyone else.

Do Americans regard the trailer parks as a natural environment for brutality, incest, early maturing etc. etc., or is this just my personal fantasy?

Perfect fodder for a sexy fish out of water scenario.
Secretly sexy seniors on a grey nomad adventure book into a caravan park expecting a quiet serene setting where they can skinny dip and meet up with fellow like minded travellers looking to recreate the 70s now they're in their 70s. Instead they show up to a redneck wonderland. Hilarity ensues over a card game where he loses his wife, but before the suns up he's won her back and a new gun rack for his volvo.
OR
The tornado sirens wail and Jim-bob and Mary-Sue high tail it out of there. They get directions off a helpful local to a different trailer park. Here there's grass and clean water and holy shit! A working septic tank! Could life get any better?
They get talking to their new neighbours and offered some tea. Of course they know what tea is, they've just never heard of the brand Peyo before. Hilarity ensues.

From what I've seen, there is no one Trailer Park image or demographic. There are nice ones and there are some that should be condemned and removed. One example is that there are some associated with Universities and are full of college students. On the other extreme there are some in places like the deep southern states that are more like junkyards filled with trash and trailers that wouldn't be allowed on the public roads (e.g. not safe to move).

Therefore, if someone wanted to write an erotic story by playing on the close living situation, I think it could easily play on any of the different Trailer Park populations. Hillbillies to university students — everyone needs sex ;) Might even make a nice trilogy; The Secrets of the Middle-Class TP, The Secrets of the Low-Class TP, and The Secrets of the University TP. That would allow the author to portray a full swath of humanity and the difference in sex among the castes/classes.

I have travelled around for 20 years, living on yachts, and in trailers. Some trailer parks were full of old sad people that were down on their luck, so no great sex stories to come out of that.
However some towns there is a large population that come to work in the town and leave. These trailer parks are full of young families, and they do have a great basis for stories. It was not unusual to walk past a trailer and hear people fucking, or look in a window and see some naked, masturbating, and having sex.

why shouldn't there be great sex stories about those down on their luck? They deserve great sex too.

How about this:

Mc is on his yacht, being interviewed for RICH and FANOUS magazine. He got rich off an invention that makes sex better - reminisces that he got the inspiration while living in a trailer park, wanted to bring joy to the sadness. Once it caught on there, he took it worldwide...
