I don’t know about everyone else but, while spring isn’t my favorite season, I always get a bit of a rush at the start of spring and a higher libido

So it got me thinking about characters having a much stronger reaction to the start of spring.

For example: two women (let’s name them Nancy and Jen) became roommates in the fall and they get along well enough but aside from a watching a few movies together or taking advantage of coupons for restaurants they aren’t the closest.

A little before the start of spring Jen’s sister stops by to drop something off for her and is surprised to see Nancy. Sis asks Jen if it’s a good idea for her to have a roommate and Jen just says it’s fine and Nancy is cool. Nancy then sneaks out after Jen’s sister and asks if there’s something she should know.

Jen’s sister is clearly downplaying things and says “my sister becomes a lot more…outgoing in spring.”

Two weeks later, Nancy sees Jen sunbathing in a micro bikini on their patio and Jen starts wearing less clothes around the apartment and even starts doing things like naked yoga (though she keeps that to her room).

Nancy definitely thinks it’s a change but Jen is otherwise a fine roommate and she can’t afford a place like this on her own. She just reminds Jen she promised to not bring guys over and Jen just giggles and agrees.

Of course Jen, practically drunk with increased libido, doesn’t have eyes for anyone else but Nancy and sets about trying to seduce her.

2. Guy always invites his friends over to his house each year to watch the baseball opener for the local team. However one of his friends never comes, saying he has to take care of his wife…puzzling as his wife always seems to be the picture of health.

This year however friend, who recently had a bit of an accident and needs to be on crutches, says he’d like to come but his wife has to come along. MC reminds him it’s more of a guys get together and friend says he understands but he thinks MC will be okay with it.

They show up, guys try to be a bit more polite than they normally are but wife chugs a beer and makes it clear she can be nice and rowdy too. By the third inning they are wondering why friend and wife aren’t coming over more often in the spring. Wife the rolls her eyes and says:

“Cause my favorite way to watch the game is naked in bed with my hubby getting home run after home run. Since he’s on medical leave would any of you boys mind doing a little pinch hitting? There’s four of you so I bet we could have a grandslam.”

3. Normally shy guy suddenly finds himself filled with confidence and lust in spring. His friends watch in fascination as he starts pursuing girls and guys that are out of his league…and he succeeds. Of course, what happens when his spring fever wears off

Back in my college days, every Spring Break, me and my buddies would pile into whoever had the biggest car and head to a beach town. We would usually stay at a nearby campsite to save money. But in the daytimes, we would spent as much time as possible at the beach, looking for richer college girls who had rooms at the nearby beach hotels. We had a few "success stories" that would make some pretty good smut.

Anyone normally demure, affected in some sort of seasonal or celestial way (full moon) is an interesting opener. Maybe just turned on from being out in the woods at night.

This reminds me of a spring break trip we took back in the day. A group of us rented a cabin on the beach and hung out, went swimming, and whatever. In the cabin next to us was a family with a MILF. Nothing happened, but that scenario could make an excellent story where the husband and kids do their thing while the MILF relaxes on the beach. She meets one or some of the guys and yadda yadda yadda they all end up in bed.

It's possible to get magical with this too, I think.

I love Greek mythology, and in that, during Autumn/Fall and Winter, Persephone is in the underworld with Hades. In sorrow about missing her daughter, Demeter refuses to let anything grow until Persephone returns. When she does, Spring comes. Maybe there could be a story where it's not just the ground that comes back to life and becomes more fertile, if you catch my meaning.
