Classic sports movies include: The Natural, Rocky I-III, Raging Bull, The Longest Yard, Everybody's All American, Hoosiers, The Babe (John Goodman version) The Pride of the Yankees (Sorry, Yankee haters) and many, many others..

Field Of Dreams & The Natural, maybe the best sports, baseball or not, movies ever made.

All other sports movies seem to end the same way.

My vote goes to The Natural as favorite sports flick- because of Redford and because I love a story that is a bit magical and has a fairy tale quality to it.

I also love the following:

• Raging Bull- for boxing
• Hoosiers - Hackman, Hopper and Hershey... hell yes!
• The Hustler - okay, so pool isn't exactly a BIG sport for other people but I play it and you can't beat Paul Newman. Great film.
• Damn Yankees - best musical sports movie!

Remember the Titans was not a good movie primarily because Disney got their hands on what would have made a really nice story. The characters were so contrived and plastic I was waiting for flying, talking cartoon animals to advise Denzel Washington on what he needed to do
