Did you guys see the news today about that jock who made that "I hate gays" comment? I was utterly appalled but it did bring a question to mind - the lockerroom comment he made. Do you think the sports community will start issuing rules about this type of thing?

that i don't know NJ.

my thoughts are he has his right to not want to be approached by gays or not even like gay people. I'll say right now i don't like some of the more flamboyant gay people. But i don't judge them i just wouldn't wanna be around them. But the fact that he flat out said he hates someone because of their sexual orientation just shows that he is a biggot and someone should throw it in his face that he is no better then a racist and he needs to rethink his views. Truthfully in a locker room does it really matter if someone is checking you out as long as they aren't hitting on you or making an advance? you can all check me out anytime you want i don't care. but if someone tries something with me and i don't feel the same way then it is offensive no other way.

It'll probably end up like the military's don't ask don't tell policy. As long as the person stays polite and doesn't touch the 'merchandise' so to speak, I don't see it as a problem.

kinda what i was saying in far less words.

It's appauling but not a surprise to me. Hell, I rather hear this than the media continuning to whore out Anna Nicole Smith.

That comment was stated by one person,
but I know that he is not alone.
Its sad that even in our 21st century there
are still so many people who will hate someone
knowing only one thing about them.
I'd think that by now people would be a little more enlightened
and accept people for who they are,
instead of hating them for who they are attracted to.

so sad.
