anyone out there a fan of spoofs or slapstick comedies?
AIRPLANE, HYSTERICAL, KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE,NOT ANOTHER TEEN MOVIE?

I remember seeing bits and pieces of the Kentucky Fried Movie as a little girl and being really confused because it didn't make any sense to me...I didn't see a plot and didn't understand it was a spoof. If I were to watch it again, I think I would enjoy it better. I normally like spoofs that are a bit more...um...sophisticated? It's difficult to put the two of those together, but I'm thinking of something like the first two Scream movies (the third was a bit too serious to be called a spoof). I do need to see Airplane! though. My roomie loves it and nags me about it sometimes. :)

the thing is

actually they are a challenge to watch...to catch every gag....i have to watch them more than once...and you have to give credit...it's not easy to cum up with these bits...its like firing a machine gun...one after another.....watch not another teen movie and let me know what you think

"Mafia" is another good spoof comedy movie. The ending (the eskimo) is probably one of the best spoof endings I've ever seen. Definatly check that one out.

mafia?

what that with dom delouise?

well super troopers is one i'm starting to get into now saw it the other day

is it just me or is it that it's guys for the most part who enjoy spoofs, slapstick, comedies...etc?

is there more than just one lady out there that enjoys these movies too (if not dating tip: don't mention them on dates)

hey now...watch it mr :p i love spoofs...i think my "not another teen movie" video is warn out now..lol

a woman after my own heart...actually i was a little disapointed with spoofs that had come out before that movie.. i went to the well thinking the water of comedy had dried up, but happily found the well over flowing.......see now my formula is 1 comedy 1 porno and so on

I'm a girl and i just watched Airplane yesterday for the i don't know how many time. I love spoof movies.

the funniest thins is watching porno spoofs,,,omg i know they are supposed to be sexual but i end up laughing my ass off....

I love airplane! Great movie. I can't believe you started talking about spoofs and not mentioned Spaceballs, my personal favorite spoof movie of all time.

strange brew has a truly heroic ending when our 2 main characters, forget baout there own welfare do drink a vat of beer to save others

I'm not a big lover of spoof movies, the occasional one will do me fine. I did love it is Hot Shots part duex when Charile Sheen blew the hell out of the energizer bunny. It keeps going and going and going BAM bunny was blown to hell.

Now if you want to talk comedies or slapstick, I love the three stooges, Abbot and Costello, Red Skellton, Danny Kay, Laural and Hardy, and Bob Hope.

...and put out the fire! :D (Bob & Doug McKenzie are played by Rick Moranis & Dave Thomas, early min their careers when they were both still with SCTV).

Here's a few quotes from the Naked Gun series with Leslie Nielsen playing Detective Frank Drebin and Priscilla Presley as Jane...

I've been dating too. Nice girl, she's an author. She wrote the book on male sexual dysfunction. You've probably read it.

Frank Drebin: Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to stay on my toes.

Frank Drebin: It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.
Jane Spencer: Goodyear?
Frank Drebin: No, the worst.

[Jane climbs a ladder.]
Frank Drebin: Saayyy, nice beaver.
Jane Spencer, producing a stuffed beaver: Thanks. I just had it stuffed.

Woman in shop, ' Is this some kind of bust?!'
Frank Drebin ' Yes, its very impressive! '
