Speed of comments being approved

Normally, when I add a comment to a story it takes anything from 6 hours to a day to appear.

Today though, my comments are appearing instantly. In seconds. Have been all day. One I wrote just now (partly to test this) was live before I'd even managed to get to my control panel.

Anyone else noticed this today? Do you think there's a new comment approval process in place?

I think it's an individual thing: once you've posted enough comments that haven't caused any problems you get put on the expedited list.

(It's a wonderful feeling when it happens, though.)

When I comment, it's posted immediately.

On a more serious note, I also noticed my comments (infrequent though they are) get posted within an hour or two tops.

The moderation priority is probably some combination of account age and number of comments, and maybe number of stories posted.
