Speaking of Underwear...

I just looked at Irontoto's underwear thread, and it reminded me of a pet peeve of mine. This will probably bring down the wrath of the fashion set, but what the hell...

Nothing says trailer trash to me like seeing a woman wearing an outer garment that is smaller than the underwear it is supposed to be covering. For example, a tank top or sundress with narrow straps over a bra with wide straps. Or a very loose sleeveless top that shows a plain white bra through the arm holes.

Am I too picky, or do others share this peeve? If you have to wear something under a skimpy outergarment, it loses it's impact to have an undergarment show. There are strapless bras and things like that out there if you are too modest to wear it as it was meant to be worn.

I'm no Mr. Blackwell, and I know little about women's fashions, but I do know good taste.

One is 47 and full figured; one needs a bra. The temperature outside is 98 in the shade, and climbing; the humidity is just about at 70%.

One also dislikes the look of a regular bra under thin straps. Hmmmm.

One buys a cami top with a shelf bra, and thumbs one's nose at the fashion police. No, it doesn't quite supply the support of an industrial strength Olga, but it feels damned good in this heat!

I have a thing with matching panties and bras...what can I say? Comes from years of my mom giving me the guilt trip about what would happen if I were in an accident. God forbid the paramedics see me and my panties and bra not be in pristine condition. Figure they may as well match.

BTW...very classy outfit you have there. Well dressed man (with cufflinks, no less. A dying breed these days) comes only 2nd to a man in uniform in my book!
