I've noticed that the last lines of submitted poetry ends up without any space below, so as soon as the poetry finishes, you have all that about sending feedback, and stuff. And if you have a last line that you hope to wrap some significance within, that seems to get occluded. It's almost like if you were reading a page of poetry and the last line runs right at the bottom edge of the page.
Is there any way to address this? In the scope of all else in the world and such, it is a relatively minor concern, extremely minor. If it can't be fixed, so be it. But if it can...?
If you submit the poem directly through the submission form (i.e., don't send a Word document or something), you can add selected HTML tags to the submission. Add a few <br /> (line break) tags at the end to force some spacing at the end of your poem.hmmnmm said:Sorry, this isn't poetic... I put the above nonbreaking space character before and after my poem on its own line to create space when I submit a poem on the new poem's page, though html doesn't work in the forums.
The code shows up when you preview the work? It shouldn't do that...MungoParkIII said:I usually try to submit poems and stories with the at the top and bottom and even though it shows up when I preview the work it is deleted when the poem or story shows up.

Maybe you're spacing it too much for their liking, is my guess. The other day I submitted a story and added a note at the end, after 6 or 7 lines of space, and they reduced it to a lot less with a * in the middle.MungoParkIII said:No, the code doesn't show up. The space shows up on the preview, but on the final product the space at the top and bottom has been eliminated. When I use a space in the body of my work with the code (ie. indenting an author's name on a quote) the code works correctly. It's just when I insert it at the top and bottom of the page when they are removed.
