Started up an OOC thread so we can all figure out our characters together.

For the majority of the thread I'm planning on pairing off. Three and four way posted scenes get confusing.

Assumption. We are all playing ship's crew? Or I guess it could be three crew and a stowaway.

Small crew means everyone is important.

Aside from that, as long as your story puts your character on the ship, it's free game. Be as creative as you want.

Only rule is writers have to be strictly human or humanoid. Anatomically human

Up to you guys. I would say we should have unique types of characters. The leader, the oddball, the smarty pants, the strict soldier, etc. Just suggestions.

After years of slaving away as a mechanic on countless heaps of shit, Sin finally had a tub of her own. And a sturdy tub she was! An old Phoenix class, probably one of only a few left. Sure she was temperamental (like her Captain), but she'd do for what Sindy had in mind.

It was her last gig on a slaver ship where she'd decided to get out of being on a crew and get a crew of her own. An old tribal leader she'd run into had told her about a wreck orbiting his home world. The ship was decades old, an aid vessel intended for his people. From what he'd described, the haul would be mostly cash and rations, but knowing those old rations they used in the Ring Wars, they'd be plenty good for salvage by the time she made it there.

Now here she was at this Dawg awful market on Shkree'or, trying to dig up a few crew who weren't overly concerned with things like "structural integrity of their ship", or "payment up front".

Sin was a talker though, and she had an unlimited supply of bullshit to trade for work. And besides...everyone would get paid on the backend.

...What's the worst that could happen?

I don't know what I'll do. I've got writers block right now, so it may be awhile until my character is up. I'll wait and see what everyone else does, and then hopefully I'll get an idea.

I had a few thoughts...all of them are good for either a male or female.

1) Disgraced soldier turned mercenary. The kicker is, they're terrible at it. Excellent fighter, but still always wants to help the helpless and all. Doesn't really get the whole soldier of fortune gig.

2) Alcoholic doctor. Highly skilled, always highly inebriated.

3) Undercover runaway prince/princess. Doesn't let anyone catch on.

4) Chef. Every ship needs a cook right? Wants to get out in the galaxy to find exotic ingredients.

That's it for now. I'll try to think of more. But everyone feel free to come up with whatever you think is funny/sexy/both
