Space fiends, whats happening with the Shuttle mission?

Does anyone know whats happening with the lastest mission. I heard a radio report saying that there was a coolant system problem and they were thinking seriously of aborting the mission. The reason I ask is my daughter and I watched a "space object" travelling across the night sky last evening about 9.30pm NZST. It was travelling from west to east. It looked like a star but was moving at a constant heading and speed. It was too slow to be a 'shooting star' . Any info or links gratefully appreciated.

Thanks for the links and info ladies. I went and checked it out with Nasa site. It was the International Space Station that we saw.
