When two galaxies collide a lot of things can happen. The push and pull of gravities can draw systems closer together or they can force a system to change coarse. In this case the two galaxies intermixed and created the BIRD'S NEST ( -Chandra and Galactic Goulash).
The Bird's nest is made up of thousands of systems that cross each others path as they move through the realm of space. One of the systems that was thrown out of the realm is the MALAR system. The Malar system is a small system out on the fringe of the Bird's Nest. The benefit of the Malar system is that it enables others to watch the Bird's Nest from a distance, so to spot illegal activities, and then send a response team in to deal with the problem. This story is about one of those out post that watches the Bird's Nest.
ISOP#2 is a small out post that sits on the very last planet in the Malar system. Or if you will Malar 5. ISOP, stands for (I)nterstellar (S)urveillance (O)ut (P)ost. And in this case Number 2. As a small out post there are not a lot of places to go.

4 floors of barracks and command centers
the 5th floor is for storage and training and fuel bunkers.

In a dark corner of the repair deck sits the Star Dreamer. Its long thin body has three cargo holds for carrying any kind of material you can think of trying to use. Cargos have been as small as 5 crates of pineapples from Terrra to five thousand gallons of Holly Water for the priests of the Holy Stellular Church, Karmas System

Today the Star Dreamer is in for repairs. A pulse inducer has been malfunctioning on the port side and Rex and Halo are trying to fix it. Rex is the pilot and owner of the Star Dreamer and Halo is his side kick and navigator. Rex is a MOONIE (born on the Earth's (Terra) moon. Halo is a NEON alien he bought when her luck ran out. Though never treated as a slave, Halo is very devoted to Rex. And while they have had their share of sexual adventures, they are both casual friends and lovers. Several have shared a bed or bunk with one or both of them.
