Jak brushed his hand across the dust covered tablet, raising the light to get a better view. "...Man...these ruins just keep going deeper. It's hard to beleive this is all under one city..."
The orange Ottsel on his shoulder shook Jak's head with his arms. "YEAH!? Well I got uncomfortable after we went six feet under!!! You're only suposed to be DEAD when your six feet under!"
He waved his hand to brush Daxter away before he cleared his throat. "I remember this....Samos taught us a bit back in the past...It's Precursor dialect.."
Daxter flopped down on Jak's shoulder. "...yeah, it was my favourite way to nap...listening to Samos drone on about all this old crap..."
Jak shook his head. "....Tomb for all Shadows..." He mumbled.
Daxter blinked and ducked behind Jak's shoulder. "Ooooooh...that sounds inviting....almost as good as "Danger, hazardous material inside" or "Open this door if you WANNA DIE!!!""
Jak looked back at him. "Hey, c'mon Jak. It said Tomb...as in...dead? You know? Not alive?" He looked at the lock, and the Ruby Key in his hand. "Besides, Samos wouldn't have let us come down here if this was another one of those deadly evil things..."
Daxter made a face and clambered back up, leaning against the side of Jak's head. "Yeah...right, and that stopped him the LAST two times, eh?"
Jak shrugged, and slipped the key into the keyhole, while Daxter grabbed the morph gun from Jak's back and ran half way across the chamber, aiming it at the tomb, switching it to Peacemaker mode, the end shifting to the head of a metalhead's skull, it became weighted, Daxter barely being able to lift it. "...don't...worry bud, I got...ya covered..."
Jak just sighed and shook his head as he slowly twisted the key, wincing, expecting the door to explode open, but it didn't. He pryed the door open slowly, as if something was going to shove it the rest of the way, but it didn't.
He did however, hear the sound of clacking, and turned over to Daxter to see it was infact, his knees. "...a lil nervous Dax?" He laughed.
Daxter coughed and stood up straight. "Just open the damn door...."
Jak laughed again, and dug his feet into the ground, pulling the door entirely open, but nothing happened. "...huh..."
As he peered around the corner, what sat in the center was a small, cylindrical black object with a rounded tip. It seemed somewhat like a statue of a miniture person standing straight, arms at sides, but as if all the details had been washed away leaving it smooth and rounded.
Daxter, apparently over his fear, dashed up and tossed the morph gun to Jak. "WOO! Hey, this thing looks like it's made out of onyx...must be worth loads!" He yelled, scratching his chin before scampering onto the small pedastl. "...hmm..." He spit on his hands and gripped both sides of the "trophy", and pulled. "NNNNGH!"..."RAAAAGHUGH"...He looked back at Jak and gave a nervous smile. "Hehe...uh..." Moving backwards, he leapt at the trophy and rolled out. "WAHA~~!!"
Jak just shakes his head, placing the gun at his hip again. "Alright..let's bring this back to Samos, he probably knows what it is..." He started to walk away, but paused and turned again, pulling the key out of the tomb's lock. "Don't wanna forget this..."
As the two left, Daxter hugging the onyx trophy tightly, they failed to notice, where the trophy once sat, an oil like fluid began to overflow.

As Jak opened the door to Daxter's bar, The Naughty Ottsel, the furry orange "hero" slid in, trophy in hand, and leapt onto the bar infront of Tess. "I'm hoooooome...and I brought presents!"
The orange Ottsel on his shoulder shook Jak's head with his arms. "YEAH!? Well I got uncomfortable after we went six feet under!!! You're only suposed to be DEAD when your six feet under!"
