Sorry, Grandpa, your boys died for nothing

I am placing black flags with the white skull and cross bones
on their graves.

America grew older, and grew up, and took up adult responsibilities,
and America joined forces with all freedom-loving nations to rid the
world of a Nazi takeover. Protecting the world from a pathological
version of a New Roman Empire, was seen as beneficial to our young
Democracy.

Time has passed, and many have turned away from the truth.
The Republican politicians have betrayed their oaths to America,
and have invited the Nazis into our government.

America was once a lighthouse, and the light of Democracy was shining.

The Nazis, once again, seek to destroy the source of light - This time,
human beings have decided to become monsters, and have joined the
Nazis. They have chosen to become brain-washed, and have decided
that a pathological version of a New Roman Empire, would be better
for their selfish arses, than a nation that has become old enough to
live up to the promise that is written in our American Constitution.

Senator Mitch McConnell may be up to his neck
in January 6th related communications and activities:
Why did "Moscow Mitch" beg every former- Republican
to vote against a bipartisan commission ?

I think the dynamic is pretty simple. When Republicans originally supported
a 1/6 panel, they thought they'd be moving past Trump. When they realized
they wouldn't, they lost their will to investigate him.

We need an independent commission to probe the January 6 insurrection,

as lawmakers were counting the Electoral College vote.

Without realizing it, Manchin admits his absurd bipartisan schtick
is dooming Democratic success

May 28, 2021

Following the Senate GOP’s filibuster of a Jan. 6 commission bill, Sen. Joe Manchin
of West Virginia lamented the outcome by claiming that enough Republican senators
would have voted to advance the bill if Majority Leader Mitch McConnell hadn’t
gotten in the way.

"...highlighted was exactly how self-defeating it is to negotiate with Senate Republicans."

"100% of my focus is on stopping this new administration,” McConnell
told reporters earlier this month in no uncertain terms.

Killing a bipartisan Jan. 6 commission is just the latest feather in McConnell’s cap.

Pelosi effectively met every one of the GOP’s demands for the commission and then
Republicans still muzzled the effort. One question that will hang over the probe for
its entirety is: What do Republicans have to hide?

Manchin said as much on Thursday.

"...the more time Joe Manchin spends dithering, the more he jeopardizes everything
Biden is trying to achieve with the precious little time in which Democrats have to
achieve it.

Senate Republicans filibustered a bipartisan independent commission to investigate
the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, with 35 Republicans able to vote down
48 Democrats and six Republicans to block the investigation from going forward
(11 senators did not vote). So now Democrats turn to Plan B, most likely a select
committee.

Jimmy Kimmel has a re-run episode running tonight,
and it hits a sore spot, because he lists all the ways that
made Trump's pledge to military veterans, an empty
boast and gesture.

Trump made a big speech, and boasted of big plans
to provide a "National Garden of American Heroes."

One of the reasons that Trump might have done that,
is at the time, the nation was divided over having
slavery-supporter's statues on government owned
property, public funded property, or on university
property. Trump was busy placing emphasis on how
different his stance was from the Democrats support
of minority community's objections to statues of leaders
of the Confederate forces.

Trump promised a garden filled with dozens of statues.
He made a big deal of signing the executive order in
a press event. It meant nothing.

Pretty propaganda Potemkin events.

Just like Trump's promises to help veterans- the money never went to veterans,
until the scam was exposed. Empty promise, empty gesture.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, spoke this past Thursday-

"You know, Nazis were the National Socialist Party, just like the Democrats
are now a national socialist party."

(There is another shoe to drop, but Margie just kept that in her purse. -
National Socialist Party is the Potemkin cloak that the Nazi party hid
behind, until it was too late.)

Greene’s ahistorical claim that the Nazis were socialists

May 29, 2021

Fact:

The full name of Hitler’s party was Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei.
In English, that translates to National Socialist German Workers’ Party.
But it was not a socialist party; it was a right-wing, ultranationalist party
dedicated to racial purity, territorial expansion and anti-Semitism —
and total political control.

Reality:

One of the most famous quotes of that era, enshrined on a wall at the U.S. Holocaust
Memorial Museum in Washington, is by Martin Niemöller, a prominent Lutheran
pastor who spent seven years in Nazi concentration camps. His words provide a
flavor of what the Nazis thought about socialists.

* First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out —
because I was not a socialist.

* Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out —
because I was not a trade unionist.

* Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out —
because I was not a Jew.

* Then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak for me.

Mitch McConnell has put his party ahead of his country.
There is no shaming him for this; he is a moral flatline.
The only thing we can do is work to make sure we keep--
and hopefully improve--majorities in the House and Senate.

Fact (since you love them so much): Hitler wrote, "We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are determined to destroy this system under all conditions."

Tell us how you prefer to evaluate human beings.

Tell us how you prefer to evaluate human beings.

People who fall for global warming (oops, better change that to climate change) are particularly gullible. People who believe government can create "good-paying green jobs" after first destroying thousands of jobs are especially gullible.

Fact: No, Hitler didn't write that, Gregor Strasser did. He was trying to appeal to nationalists on both the left and the right at a time when the Nazi party didn't yet have a strong following among either. Strasser was a member of the Nazi party, but Hitler later had him assassinated.

You can find a fair amount of he did/he didn't in search engines. Author John Toland in his biography of Hitler reports Hitler recited the verbiage in a May 1, 1927 speech.

OK, you seem to be unclear about the meaning of the word “fact.”

And you're stupid enough still to fail to understand that he was playing the people with that socialist claim. You really don't have any brain power or understanding of history, do you?

In other words, even your source doesn't say Hitler wrote that.

Irrelevant of who actual wrote the above OldUrinal, it was just lies to move the party forward....

Hitler lied, Trump lied.

Am I surprised you don't understand/comprehend that, nope.

Were you dumb enough to believe that after four years of obstruction, Republicans were just going to gather around and sing kumbaya with Democrats?

The world experimented with fascism back in the 30s and 40s and we realized it was a shitty idea not worth trying again. The problem is the other idea that started at the time won't die. The commies that took over after the end of fascism continue to push a narrative that anyone to the right of Stalin is a fascist. Both ideologies are a skid mark on humanity. We killed one and need to kill the other.

The McConnell quote you're responding to is from BEFORE the Trump administration. He was referring to Obama. So even if I agreed with you that the Dems were equally obstructionist (and I don't), you just as good as admitted they were in the right to be that way!

I heard McConnell say something very similar recently, about Biden.

No surprise there. But the point is, if you're going to argue that it's OK for him to do that because of how the Dems treated Trump, it's only fair to acknowledge that McConnell did the same to Trump's Democratic predecessor. Which means, effectively, that you're saying the Dems were right to push back against Trump (to the rather limited extent they were actually able to, given that they only had the House for his last two years and never had the Senate. But anything short of kneeling down in utter deference to the man no doubt meets their definition of obstructionism).
