Stelwyn paced the study. She had only been with the master for a few weeks. A month? It wasn't long. She had seen incredible things, learned so much. But the master was taking on a case; a dangerous one against another sorceress. An evil one they called the voodoo queen because of her control over blood.

Stelwyn was scared. Scared for herself and her master and for her education. Scared for her carefree way of life and her future. He was on his way back to their manor now, after talking to the king about payment for taking the witch out.

She cleaned the workshop and started a fire. Dinner was cooking, a stew with venison and fresh vegitables she got from the market and she even baked fresh bread. She couldn't help it; she had to keep busy when she was anxious. She secretly hoped he wouldn't take the case. But she knew better. She knew the master.

He had left the small four room cabin he called home when the sun was still young. Now returning when the moon was up, Vladingra was hungry and exhausted.
As he trodded the almost empty street towards the woods Ein'drea where his home was, Vlad's mind went back to the meeting he attended in the palace. To his choice to defeat the voodoo queen. Not that he was regreting now, he was only concerned about his young apprentice.
She was still quiet young when it came to sorcery. If they travel together which he was sure they will, for she won't let him go alone. She'll be constantly in danger. He'll have to play her off, keep her in the dark till tommorrow when its time to leave. He'll then blame her that she was unprepared and so must stay back as punishment.
Satisfied that he now had a possible solution to his dilema, Vladingra cast a teleport spell and appeared infront of his porch. Much to the relieve of his growling stomach.

Stelwyn heard footsteps on the porch, but before thet she felt the magic energy displace. She was very good at sensing magic and she had a great gut sense. Her mother was prophetic, though it was her father who gave her the gift of magic.

"Welcome home master." she said in greeting, bowing. "I hope your trip faired well. Dinner is made." she filled a bowl for him from the pot and put it down on the table. She sat scross from where she made his seat and grabbed the basket of bread.

She nibbled her bread and stared at him anxiously. She didn't want to bother him just after coming home, but she was trembling with curiosity.

Opening the door, he came face to face with his apprentice Stelwyn who seemed to have been expecting him since.
She brought him a cup of water which he gladly received. Gulping it down, he went straight to the table and sat.
He picked a bread from the basket and looked up at Stelwyn who was nibbing ever so slightly on her bread, with curiosity painted all over her beautiful face.
With the bread in his left hand Vlad dished the stew into a bowl, enjoying the sweet aroma of venison in it.
Vlad glanced at the table, in search of something that was off or reasonably disapproving. So he could send her off, and avoid her questioning but innocent gaze.
"Stelwyn." he called her name, his face still down on his stew. "Why didn't you get me my favourite wine?" he asked bringing his face up. "You know i never eat venison without cherry wine. Go to the garden and check for it." he ordered then went back to eating his meal.

Stelwyn frowned for a spell, but shoke it off. "Yes master, of course. My apologies." she chirped as she smiled brightly. She stood and skipped towards the door, closing it behind her.

She looked around the garden, kicking at rocks and wandering around. Did he want her away from him? Was she bothering him? She sighed. Master was so brilliant and talented and handsome. Why did he take an apprentice like her? A young clumsy farmers daughter? Maybe it was because she could cook.

She took her time looking for the wine, partially becasue she was upset that she had bothered him, partially because she had no idea where it was.

Vlad knew they were no more cherries in the garden. He expected her to chant up a cherry wine. Ofcourse that was a wild assumption since he had never taught her such a spell.
At least his plan to keep her off was working. Soon he'd retire and in the morrow will quickly leave.
Munching down on his bread, he contemplated if he was making the right decision. He'll miss her company greatly if he left without her, but that's the only way to ensure her safety. He'll have her returned to her parents in the morrow.

Stelwyn stomped around the garden for only a few more minutes. "No no no." she groaned. "Why is master doing this? Oh man." she forze for a second, but then clentched her fists. He was hiding something, but who was she to question her master?

She finally resolved to go back inside. Her head fell to the floor. "Master I found no wine. I'm sorry. I'm- I' just going to go to bed for the night. Is that okay?" her small room was above the study, nothing more than a straw bed and a wardrobe full of more books than clothes.

"Yes ofcourse." he replied her. He had already finished eating before her return and had a map of the south placed on the table.
He looked up from it, to Stelwyn whose fair face showed nothing but great disappointment.
"No not yet. You are my apprentice and by right deserves more than any to know what i am embarking on. I accepted the quest and will be leaving at dawn."

Stelwyn wandered over to the table, looking down at the map. Her shoulder brushed the master's arm as she stood beside him. "Master..." she whispered, looking up at him.

She looked down at the map again. She knew what this journey entailed. She knew it was a chance to practice her magic while she helped her master take out evil. She should be excited, not scared.

She looked up at him again with a soft smile. "I want to come with. It will be a good chance to learn and two is better than one. I can carry my own weight. I promise."

She came round the table, brushing slightly his arm as she passed and leaving a tingling sensation behind, one that strangely travelled down to Vald's loins.
She gazed at the map, surveyed it then look up at him with a smile that lifts even the weariest of hearts.
He listened to her words, she was right, yes this was a chance for her to learn more and its a universal fact that two is better than one.
"Agreed," Vlad said rising up from his seat. He brought a hand up to her cheek, while he gently caressed her soft flesh, his eyes never lingered from hers.
"Your company will be greatly appreciated Stelwyn" he withdrew his hand and worked off towards his bedroom. "As long as you do what you're told along the way and prove yourself useful on your own." he added not wanting to lose hold of his hard outer demeanour.

"Yes master!" she said excitedly. "Yes! Oh I have to pack- we leave in the morning right? We both better sleep well." she got to work busily cleaning up dinner. She looked back up to him. "Is there anything else you need from me tonight master?"

"No nothing." he responded. "Get some rest Stelwyn."

Before the cock crowed, Vlad was up. After going to the natural stream that was behind the cabin, Vlad once again went through the map.
They will have to stop at Riften first and get his grimoire from an archmage there.
While he stood and was studying the map, he called to his apprentice. She came in moments later, radiating beauty and sex. He couldn't help but stare, couldn't resist his gaze lingering more on her.
"I um..." he cleared his throat then turned attention back to the map. He had forgotten what he earlier wanted to say and so just asked what popped into his head.
"Have you informed your family about the expedition and the dangers involved."

Stelwyn woke up early, full of eagerness for adventure. She collected eggs and potatoes and made breakfast. It wasn't long before he called her.

"Good morning master." she beamed brightly as she set down the food she brought for him.

Then he meantioned her family. "Well- I- uh." she looked down at the table. "They know the risks. I wouldn't want them to worry. I wrote a letter but theres no way it would reach them before we left. It's okay though, I'm sure."

She leaned against the wall to eat her own food, eggs, fried potatoes and toast.
