How'd that work out for you guys?

And I can't believe there isn't a thread about it already.

The Vettebigot and Busybody showed up briefly to issue a perfunctory "Torture is Kewl!" defense, then both slithered away.

Just admit it--we tortured them for Vengeance (in relation to the past) and Terror (in relation to the future).

Without torture, how would we keep the terrorist training schools humming?

They need something to hate the US, so that they can keep the recruits coming, so that we can bomb them and halliburton gets their defense contracts.

It's all calculated.

I listened to John McCains speech on the floor today. It was quite interesting.

In keeping with his long held beliefs but cool to hear none the less.

And I can't believe there isn't a thread about it already.

There were tons of threads about it -- back when President Bush canceled the specific CIA program in 2006 and again when President Obama rejected the principle for present and future intelligence agency interrogations in 2009.

Therefore, assuming that the current report does not reveal any substantial, new information about what the program did, the extent to which it was applied and the legal rationale for its adoption, the question that naturally arises is why are we resurrecting this dead horse a full five years after its eulogy?

Since Dianne Feinstein is the primary mover and shaker behind this current effort, I find myself just a wee bit suspicious of her motives. Call me partisan in that way.

Didn't read the report or the news about the report, didja?

Seems like the CIA told quite a few bald-faced lies to Congress and the general public about the extent to which it applied. Thirty or so folks they "disappeared" and such.

John Yoo and his entire immediate family deserve to be waterboarded.

No, what we got at the time was a load of sophistry about how this was needed to keep Muricah safe. But it turns out that not once was it justified.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Mike Rogers disputed the lying charges on the Charlie Rose program last evening, but even if that accusation is true, what does Feinstein hope to achieve other than a partisan political dust up?

The interrogation program is dead. Obama's justice department has declined to file criminal charges associated with the program.

What's the fucking point?

As for waterboarding John Yoo's family, I didn't think you could be that stupid and small-minded.

Actually, I did, but was hoping you would somehow rise above it.

...

It's a political maneuver. Don't act so shocked. Both parties do it all the time.

Benghazi Benghazi Benghazi ....

Torture totally works. If you don't believe me just ask McCain. Had the North Vietnamese not employed torture McCain never would have fessed up.

We are so fortunate to have you here so that every time some community suffers a devastating flood you can remind us that once upon a time some Republican took a piss and hit the floor instead of the bowl.

Republicans in bathrooms tend to make for some very fun stories.

Your intolerance towards differing opinions is getting quite Vettemanesque in your dotage.

Republicans in bathrooms tend to make for some very fun stories.

Yeah, as long as we seem to be in nostalgia mode let's dredge up all of those old holiday classics. What else shall we bitch about to no purpose?

Clinton and Lewinsky?

G. H. W. Bush: "Read my lips..."?

Carter and the Iranian hostage crisis?

JFK and the Bay of Pigs?

Lend Lease under FDR?

just a friendly reminder

extra ordinary rendition started under Rapist Clitman

GlowBall Bullshitter, Algore was a BIG FAN

Pussy Pelosi and Stinky Cunt Feinstein loved it in 2002:D

My intolerance has less to do with the substance of your opinion, which was registered long ago and repeatedly on this issue, than it does to objecting to a crabby-ass Democratic Senator spending millions of dollars to fire your ass up so that we all get to hear it yet again.

When do you think we can close the book on this matter? Or are you guys planning to hold five year reunions?

Yeah, as long as we seem to be in nostalgia mode let's dredge up all of those old holiday classics. What else shall we bitch about to no purpose?

Clinton and Lewinsky?

?

You're seriously trying to equate mass, systemic torture to a consensual blowjob? Seriously?

Nothing new about any of those to be released. I think the Republicans are all in with Benghazi for now.

Whitewater could make a winning hand with the right card on the river though.

The phoney indignation is dripping all over the thread. Aim for the bowl better next time.

I applaud it because it likely saved lives and the ragheads didn't enjoy it.

Mass? Systemic?

Are you seriously trying to equate the CIA interrogation program to the Spanish Inquisition? POW interrogations at the "Hanoi Hilton"? Seriously?
