You can answer as many times as you want but first person to guess wins the point. Five point for no clue and one point if I give clues. You may also get group points if you 'study' together. *giggles*

First round will go up to 20 and then I'll reset the scores...

Have fun!

Round 1 FINAL SCORE:

First Question:

Leonardo da Vinci carried out the following experiment: He held a sphere of very thin fragile glass above a floor of solid stone. When he dropped it the sphere fell two meters (6 feet, 6 inches) without breaking.

How?

he used to expiriment with parachutes and water i know, maybe some combination of the 2 ?

Keep it simple. I think he dropped it from over 2m above the floor. It was just fine for 2m or so...

CORRECT! Well done watchme:rose:

*He held it 2.5 meters (eight feet) above the floor. True, it fell two meters without breaking but on hitting the floor, it smashed to smithereens. :D

Smart Sally sat in biology class with a smug grin on her face. "What are you looking so pleased about?" asked the teacher. "I know something that has four legs and two arms," she said proudly. The teacher racked his brains but could think of no creature with fit the description.

What did Sally mean?

NEXT:

John and Sally moved into their new home and then went to the hardware store to make an important purchase. "How much is one?" asked John. "$3" came the reply. "What about 20?" "That'll cost you "$6" "OK. well we need 2042."

What were John and Sally buying and how much did it cost them?

Josh is getting dressed for an important dinner party with the boss and his wife. They are outside in the car waiting to take him to the restaurant. He is already running late when suddenly disaster! There's a power outage. He hasn't yet put on his socks. He knows that in the drawer there are a dozen pair of blue socks and an equal number of black ones.
What is the smallest number of socks he must take out of the drawer to avoid the embarrassment of mismatched socks?
