How would you fart-sniffers classify the genre of music played at the start and end of the show?

Kinda bluesy southern rock?

with a heaping spoonful of alternative or outlaw country.

I'm finishing up season 5, which is the end of what's on NetFlix. Are there more seasons?

Also:

A. I assume the gang always has the chase-van because Harley's are crap and always break down.

3. That Jax is a fine looking young man.

2. I'd never join SAMCRO because I don't look good in leather. And I don't have a scooter (at least not until I'm eligible for a free Rascal).

iv. SAMCRO is one screwed up gang. They can't do anything right!

I love Sons of A but I'm about three seasons behind. I might treat myself to the boxset at Christmas. I love Gemma.

Omfg!

Sons of Anarchy is my current favorite show. I've been binge watching online. I just started season five. I love the intro and outro, montage shit they play. I'm not big on hard heavy metal... but it works for me on this show (you know... during the fight scenes, shoot outs, and stuff). I heard a spanish version of Dylans, Times They Are A-Changin that melted my soul.
Whatever the genre, its a great sound design that enhances the production greatly in my book.

Joshua Jame's Coal War being played over the start of season 4 might be one of the best opening scenes of all time.

I have trouble with the blood and violence, but on this show... it works for me. I had the same reaction back in the day when binge-watching The Sopranos or the HBO series OZ. The violence worked for the story line... wasn't usually gratuitous... (I said, "usually" ;)). The actor Harold Perrineau, who shows up on Sons in season five, I think... he played a hot Mercutio in Romeo & Juliet (w/Leo DeCaprio & Claire Danes), and was awesome as Augustus Hill in the series OZ.
Sons of Anarchy's episode cliff-hangers are impossible to resist when you don't have to wait for the next new episode. I'm gonna have to start savoring my views... taper off the binging... you know? I've two seasons to go... I fore see heavy withdrawal... ahead.

I'm loving Jimmy Smits. He's a pretty good actor... I must admit.
