Sonic Legends: The Mobius Chronicles (Casting Call)
NOTE: In accordinance with the rules of the ORP, no characters under 18 may be involved in sexual situations. My characters may be younger than 18 in this, but this is NOT an SRP. It's just a general adventure roleplay, so DO NOT post anything adult orientated with characters in this rp, even if they are of age. This game is about action, adventure, and fighting evil, not making a bunch of furries fuck each other.
So, it's based in a world that is a bit of a fusion of the old Sonic show with the freedom fighters and the Dreamcast and GameCube games.
The game takes place in the massive city of Mobius, which has a population of about forty million, be it human or animan (humanoid animals). Beyond the city limits lie empty plains for hundreds of miles, and beyond that are enormous mountains, in every direction. So, imagine the mountains forming a huge circular basin, and in the center of that lies Mobius. Though many travel to the Dragonfang Mountains for mining purposes, no one has ever passed through the far ends of the canyons and lived. Rumors tell of giant snakes, scorpions, spiders, and hornets that occupy them. Below the sewers of Mobius is a huge pocket of water, but over the years that has lowered, and while water can be recycled for commoners, the higher classes refuse to tolerate “used water.”
The city consists of seven large sections (districts) and dozens of smaller sections (sectors). The really bad parts of the sectors are called slums. Each district is watched over by a Governor, each sector by a Mayor. Once a person has been a Mayor for a few years and then a Governor for a few more, they are eligible to run for the City Senate. Made up of twelve Senators and the President and Vice President of Mobius, the Senate is the supreme ruling faction in the city.
For ages, the humans had looked upon the animans as inferior, but they had managed to remain civil. That was until the year 2011. Senator Ivaro Eggman was elected into the office of Vice President, and almost instantly the President died a mysterious death. Eggman became the new President, and once he revealed his new police droids, no one dared defy him. Not that they wanted to, because what most of the government had felt in secret, Eggman showed open-heartedly -- he absolutely loathed the animans. He created the Animan Enslavement Act of 2011, which commanded all animans to become slaves of the humans or be exterminated. Many chose neither and fled to live in the slums and sewers.
What had caused Eggman’s horrible hatred of the animans was the destruction of his first battle droid at the hands of an animan named Sonic three years earlier. Eggman became determined to make him and all his little furry friends pay, so he temporarily set the science half of his career aside and focused on politics. Now that he was finally in control of the city, he could activate his droid police force to apprehend animans all over the city.
In the aftermath of the horrible abductions, for which Sonic felt partly responsible, he began recruiting freedom fighters. Of course, at his side from the beginning were his best friend Tails and his rival Knuckles. The three built a sewer lair, and searched the sewers and slums for potential recruits. This proved extremely difficult, however, as most of the animans were too terrified to face Eggman and his droids. But, in some of the darkest shadows, they found the recruits they needed.
It has been six months since the initiation of the Enslavement, and with their small team, all they could do was stage midnight raids and attempt to rescue their enslaved brethren, little by little. Usually guards report seeing a streak of blue right before falling unconscious.
So, make your characters or revamp existing ones, and use the same character format as mine below. All characters must be animan or half-animan (human looking with cat ears and a tail, etc), but you can use any animal characters from any anime or american cartoon. For a third char Dragonrazor and I are using Swat Kats, lol. You can even use Loonatics Unleashed if that’s what gets ya going.
So, include in your bio how and where you were recruited, as well as when over the last six months. Knuckles is second in command of the fighters, and played by Dragonrazor, and Tails is the chief engineer and mechanical genius of the team, played by me. Once we have a certain number of characters, I'll start the RP thread. And no Shadow, I have plans for him.

Sonic Bluestreak
Age: 17
Team Profession: First Leader of Operations
Background: At the young age of twelve, Sonic had grown obsessed with the idea of preventing crime and punishing those that would harm others. Inheriting the incredible speed of his bloodline relatives, he was able to easily capture criminals and thwart dark plots. In one historical battle when he was fourteen, Sonic investigated rumors of a senator secretly developing a droid warrior for sinister purposes. He defeated the fat man, and left his lab in flames.
When he was sixteen, he met a young boy named Tails who had run away from home, and took him under his wing.
It came as a shock to Sonic when three years after the lab explosion, Eggman was suddenly the President of Mobius. He was able to evade the Droid Police Force, but when he arrived at his parents’ house (Rusher & Accella), he found them both slaughtered, their blood soaking the carpet. His older brother (Dash) was barely alive, and after telling Sonic to find Skitt (their younger brother), he passed away as well. Furious, Sonic stormed the closest police headquarters, starving for revenge. Realizing he would need help to take on the Droid Force, he vanished into the sewers, and was happy to see Knuckles and Tails had done the same. They began searching for recruits to form a force of freedom fighters, but that proved easier said than done. Luckily, after a few weeks, they ran into two former Enforcers in the sewers below Carolina -- Chance Furlong and Jake Clawson. They began staging midnight raids to try and free their kind. It has been six months now, but they have only enough manpower to act in small raids.
The memory of his brother Skitt still haunts him at night. He hopes his little bro made it to safety, he never did find a body. But, what if he had been taken, made a slave? He searched for him during every raid, but he never found anything relating to his lost brother.

Miles “Tails” Prower
Age: 14
Team Profession: Aviation, Pilot & Aircraft Production Specialist/Computer & Security Systems Engineering Technician/Advanced Mobility Technician & Transportation Engineering Specialist
Background: Tails was orphaned at a very young age, and went to live with his Aunt Telina in the Nevada District. However, she was disgusted with his two tails, like his father’s. She said true foxes had one tail and weren’t meant to fly. She had never approved of her sister marrying a two-tailed man, and had a lot of resentment towards their offspring. During his early childhood, he heard his aunt use his name Miles with such disgust, that he eventually couldn’t stand to refer to himself as that anymore, and made up the nickname Tails. When he was thirteen, his aunt discovered he had been secretly teaching himself to fly with his tails at night, and had a secret stash of tiny computer controlled airplanes he had created. Infuriated, his aunt smashed all his planes, smacked him a few times across the face, then grabbed a pair of scissors in an attempt to remove his second tail. Tears pouring down his face, he fled his home, hearing his aunt screaming at him that he was never welcome in her house again. That she refused to live with a two-tailed freak any longer.
After a few nights sleeping in alleys and behind dumpsters, Sonic found him. The two became good friends, and Sonic took him under his wing. After a few months of studying and advancing his mechanical genius, Eggman became President. At the time of the Enslavement, Tails had been visiting a friend of his, and when the droids came, his friend ran and left him alone. He tried to fight them off, but then resorted to fleeing to the sewers, where he met up with Sonic and Knuckles.
Tails has a genius IQ and a mechanical-orientated mind that is only rivaled by his heart.

Chance Furlong AKA T-Bone
Age: 22
Team Profession: Aviation, Pilot/Navigation Specialist
Background: Growing up in the Carolina District, Chance Furlong was influenced at an early age by the comic books that he read, wanting to be one of the good guys in a world of crime. Chance eventually landed that dream in the Mobius Enforcers (the most elite of law enforcement), becoming a Fighter Pilot. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite like he'd expected it to be. Regulations, protocols, and a hierarchy had to be followed, which didn't quite suit the rebellious tastes of Furlong. Not to mention the constant prejudice of his teammates against animans.
His career virtually ended when Ivaro Eggman took control. He had just recently attained the rank of sergeant, and seeing as he had only been on the team for four years, that was no simple feat, only for it to be stripped away. He and his good friend Jake Clawson fled to the sewers, and then met Sonic. Taking on the names T-Bone and Razor, they were two of the first to join Sonic’s team of freedom fighters.

President Ivaro Eggman
Age: 42
Profession: Commander-in-Chief of the Mobius Armed Forces & the Head of the City Senate
Background: Eggman started out his life as a happy little boy. He was fascinated by the mechanical works of the city, and soon grew an intense and unhealthy obsession with robotics. He was enrolled in the best Tech School in Mobius by the age of sixteen, his genius mind excelling him forward. After getting degrees in Robotics, Cybernetics, Computer Science, and Combat Systems Engineering, he became one of Mobius’ greatest scientific minds. After his horrible defeat at the hands of Sonic, he swore revenge. Once he became the Vice President, he quickly disposed of the current President and took control himself, initiating the Animan Enslavement Act of 2011.
For six months, Eggman has ruled the city with an iron fist, no one daring to even attempt to defy him for fear of execution.
