I read Comey's letter, and calling it a "reopening of the investigation" is a real stretch. He says up front he doesn't know whether the new e-mails are significant or not.

Of course, why this non-news required a public letter two weekends before an election is anyone's guess, but I'm sure Comey being a career Republican has absolutely nothing to do with it.

I don't know what sort of impact it will have on the vote. Most people voting against Clinton already thought she was a sleaze, and millions of people -- call them "criminal enablers," maybe? -- will vote for Trump despite 12 different women accusing him of sexual assault.
