Somewhere over the rainbow...

We had really bad storms move through the area earlier this evening just about the time I was driving home from work. Bright sunshine followed right behind them. I thought there must be a rainbow with that combination so I almost killed myself on the expressway twisting my neck to look behind me. BUT I saw one of the most beautiful, brightest rainbows I've ever seen! Really wide color bands and really deep colors, just gorgeous.

So, how was YOUR day? :)

One of my favorite sights in the world is the rainbow after a storm. I really miss those. I lived in Georgia most of my life where there are some spectacular ones. Now, I'm in San Diego, which has many great qualities, just not thunderstorms and rainbows. But I do get to see the bluest ocean I've ever had the chance to see each day on my way to work. So, I guess it's a good trade.

We are in the midst of a wonderful rainshower, as I type this. The rhythm of the rain lulls me so. :)

The weather was great. Ate my lunch outside and had to put on shades to stand the bright sun. But that was the weather...my day was one of those days that starts out looking like you'd be better off to not get out of bed. But, I decided to just try to be open to the unfolding of events, instead of borrowing trouble with all of my projections. LOL. Ended up being productive as far as work was concerned, and my laid back attitude reconciled a few relationships too.
Experienced a great surprise, as well. We were getting ready to carry a large staircase into a house, and as soon as my helper and I started looking like we were lifting, out of nowhere came a group of non-english speaking hombres, who proceeded to carry the damn thing inside and hoist it up to the upper floor. No whining and liability shy attitudes, just smiles. Gracias, dudes!

At 2.15pm my day has been great so far!

It started with a lovely ;) shower...

Followed my even more yummy pm's...

Followed by a whole lot of sighing...

But I did manage to do some work among the pm's and sighing....

All in all another day in Paradise :D

Actually my day was pretty good, thanks for asking. :rose:

I had a great day here in the far north, thanks for asking. Sunny (no rainbows here) and getting warmer every day. Lots of snow on the mountains, but time to take off the snow tires here at sea level. That's the first rite of spring. :)

Busy, but pleasant enough... the afternoon took several unanticipatable twists, each a source of delight. The weather was much nicer then they predicted... and it is cool enough now that I'm slowing down to be VERY good sleeping weather.

Not a rainbow in sight, but the planets and moon lined up nicely.

hehe... yup, that was me! You should have honked if you saw me.

Didn't want to miss the rainbow since we get so few of them. I can't even remember the last one I saw.

I've always looked for the pot of gold, but never found it.Guess I'll just have to settle for the pot!(where's my bong?)

We were driving up central California coast. We'd just passed a tiny, cool little town called Harmony. The clouds were gray and heavy, then they parted a sun shone in a broad stripe across the green pastures ahead of us. Then I saw the most incredible rainbow...totally deep colors, a huge perfect arch from one side of the sky to the other. It stayed there, bright above the rain-wet green fields, perfect, for a good 15 minutes. I couldn't even speak, it was so beautiful. I can close my eyes and still see it.

Rainbows are always cool, Laurel. Mostly because they are usually so unexpected I think. No matter what the rest of the day is like, a rainbow brightens it. :)
