I'm sure there are some red faces in our local Sherrifs department right now.
It sems the other night an officer pulled over a car for traffic violations. He waited for back up the approached the car.
While searching the car he saw a partialy disemballed rifle in the back seat. (On the side of which was the emblem for Daisy.)
As the officer was checking it the rifle fired and a .22 caliber round hit his partner in the chest. The second officer wasn't hurt, he was wearing his vest.
Oh the driver was charged, with the original traffic violations but not with the firearm. (He is legaly allowed to have it.)
