Every single human being on Earth knows that. It's the simple truth, not a slam. So why is the guy being ragged on over that simple statement of fact?

You need to pay attention to your avatar. Generalizations never work out for anybody. People are individuals. I know plenty of men who need to STFU too.

And sometimes we say nothing at all. Which is a good indicator that we are pissed.

The Japanese Olympic guy who said sometimes women talk too much and make meetings run too long and has been vilified for speaking the truth.

If memory serves, his mouth was the reason he only lasted 1 year as Japan's prime minister.

Probably blames that on a woman, too.

ETA: The media coverage of Mori's term as prime minister was dominated by his gaffes and undiplomatic comments. Even prior to his election as prime minister, he had been described in the Japanese media as having "the heart of a flea and the brain of a shark".[11][12]

we all know some women who talk to much, but so do some men.... ergo, to simplify it as 'some women' instead of 'some people' makes it a sexist statement based on the speaker's own biases and not the profound truth that gender really doesn't come into the equation

plus (she says, no doubt 'speaking too much' for jafo's tastes hence serving only to affirm his own biases), a whole lot of 'men' think ANY woman saying stuff they don't want to hear is the SAME as 'speaking too much'. so fuck y'all. :cattail:

furthermore... so many women feel this need to explain stuff to men who simply won't get it without it being explained to them, in full, in colour, and in depth. this may be the female equivalent of 'mansplainin' and isn't always required. usually is, though ;)

Men are monosyllabic so it's easy to perceive women as talking more.

This is just a generalization though and thus beyond reproach of any sort. ;)

"I wish people would stop incorrectly using me as a substitute for an argument on Twitter" - G Orwell ;)

"Mori, (83) a former Japanese prime minister, sparked a furore when he spoke at the start of a meeting of senior officials to an Olympic committee meeting earlier this month..."

The pervasive nature of the media is a huge problem but we have to allow people to mutter under their breath "What a twat" because we need those personal ticks to stay sane and we need to forgive if a personal conversation is overhead and flashed across the world on Twitter as though it meant something.

The guy is welcome to his views and what he does on his time off is up to him. He can wank off ten times a day, he can sing Handel arias, he can dress as a gay dragon or be an expert sushi chef but he can't sit at his official, salaried desk and insult half the world's population without attracting criticism. That is not cancel culture, thought control or Orwellian - it's an old guy being a twat.

I've known many men that could out-talk women all day long so these sweeping generalisations aren't helpful.

Even if it was true, it shouldn't be used as an excuse to discriminate.

If it’s a generalization, it’s one that’s been documented since at least the ancient greeks.

He is clearly out of touch with the culture that now dominates our lives.

The SJWs are always looking for people like him
to justify their never-ending machinations.
