Sometimes when I send a long response to someone I'm messaging "SEND" freezes.

It happens quite a bit. I usually copy the message, refresh the page, paste it and send.

It's not an answer to "why" but it fixes the problem at the moment.

Yes happens to me now and again, i do what you do Refresh and its fine

we write reply's on our email account,
in compose, copy and paste,
it is a shame that the reply is limited,
so at least if you write a reply on your email and paste,
you can send the whole reply even if in segments.

Copy the text you've just written, then refresh the page. Paste in, delete the old version, which won't be complete. You'll need to delete several lines between paragraphs, but at least you won't lose what you've written.

The program just times out. It happens on message boards a lot.
Everything suggested above is the easiest fix.
