I had the most vivid dream last night.

I woke up in a strange place. It was a wonderful little town nestled at the foot of some mountains. I didn't know why I was there, how I got there, or the name of the town. I kept asking, but all the people I asked would simply say "You're supposed to be here".

All the people exuded this type of calm euphoria. It was like tranquility personified. Finally someone told me where I was.

When I woke up, I went and looked up the place on the internet. I'm positive I'd never heard of that small town very far away from me, but sure enough, it exists.

Is that creepy or what?

It would be even more creepy if you went there and it was exactly as it appeared in your dream.

The last time I was in London, I went to the part of the city in which my fictional heroine would have lived a hundred and twenty years earlier. What was then a slum is now almost wholly rebuilt in glass and concrete skyscrapers, except for one small patch where we found some period buildings clustered around the center for the historical perservation society. As I tracked down where we were on the London A-Z, I discovered that I was on a street with exactly the same name as the one my heroine lived on in the story - a name I'd invented without ever glancing at the A-Z.

It made me smile.

Would be even creepier if you went there and they acted that way. I'd run screaming. Sounds like the tupperware episode from an old show I remember, all the people got closed up in tupperware at night.

Have you looked in the basement lately?

Under that pile of boxes or behind the furnace?

That's usually where 'they' put the pods. ;)

Brrrrrrr....

Hey! Long time no see!

:rose:

It's good to be seen! I've hauled myself out of the hole I dug, a 200K word manuscript between my teeth.

Ah, yup. That was it. Never was into Goosebumps but loved Eerie Indiana. Think I was something like 12 at the time.
