is that they are OVERPRICING their coffee.

Just thought you all needed to know before you buy another 4.55 latte.

I like the dirty looks I get from the kid behind the counter when I ONLY get a cup of coffee. Plain, straight, old fashioned Joe.

That's why i recently switched to another coffee place half a block away from my Starbucks. They have better coffee for the same price.

I'll go back to Starbucks next summer for their frappachinos though.

I was in the wonderful state of NY and it only cost me 3.25?

You are getting riped off.

I don't care. I'd pay $5 just to smell their coffee.

wonder if the drive thru is still open...

Personally, I like Peaberry... they're not horribly overpriced...

Although, the Elephant Bean (actual mom-n-pop shop) just down the street is great....

Just one word for them...

ORGASMIC!!!

A "venti" mocha frappucino is $5.29 canadian, but well worth it!

I knew that and I've been there all of once in my life.

Luckily, the one I was at, in O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, was pandemonium. For some reason, they never asked me to pay for my Iced Coffee Americano (which would have been $3), so I walked off with it.

Pretty sweet deal, I say.

I just like regular, plain old coffee myself. With cream.

I know I'm a minority, but I don't think Starbucks has very good coffee, it tastes bitter to me.

I'm no coffee connoisseur, but I think Dunkin Donuts for take out coffee just fine.

Starbucks gives me a headache. Double D(Dunkin Donuts) is all I drink. Sippin' it right now. Large, cream and sugar. No flavored shit either!!

You are quite right, Shaq..........I just now read that things in the coffee production business have gotten so bad that the Brazilian government is now giving support payments to their coffee farmers. Over-production (world-wide) for several years now has lowered coffee prices well below the cost of production--below the cost of even expecting producers to stay in business at all--and, thus, has made coffee 'dirt-cheap' to coffee middle men as well as retailers but the consumer has no idea this has happened. You're paying what you pay because you're willing to pay that much.......Starbuck's only problem is getting all that money to the bank!

Whether it's coffee, pork, beef, chicken, you name it, when already low prices to the producer drop further--sometimes to near nothing as hogs were 17 cents a pound recently where 40 cents is more the norm--the consumer keeps paying as if the producer was getting top prices.

Ergo.......BOTH producers AND consumers are taking a ride these days.

SINthysist

Don't feel bad. I never saw a Starfu**s ...er Starbucks until I moved into Denver from my li'l country town!

I must admit, their coffee is awful, it's almost like drinking hot water. If it's just a coffee, it's definitely Timmy's (Tim Horton's for all the americans in the audience). Ex large double double.... Yum!

You got it sister! There's no other coffee store in the world that beats Timmy's.

What she said. Starbucks coffee tastes like it's been on the warmer all day, burned and bitter.

I do like their scones, though.

Does anyone drink tea anymore?

I do, a nice cup of chamomile or earl grey with honey is wonderful, especially before bed. Tonight, I'm being bad though, I got a huge mug of (you guessed it!) coffee on the go.
