Something funny

Did anyone watch Helen of Troy on cable?

When Paris took Helen from Sparta to Troy, and Helen was prepared to greet the King of Troy, they dressed her in a yellow tunic.

Yellow was the color prostitutes wore in ancient Greece and Rome. Someone on that show did not do their homework.

She should have been dressed in white with purple [purple denoted royalty]

Anyhow, I thought it was funny. Although I will say she looked good in yellow.

Dear Prince,
There's no doubt that they needed someone like you on the staff.

it was a movie on the USA network

I caught part of the show. Mostly to see if I could spot John Rhys-Davies (I did; he was King Priam). The thing that struck me the most was that it was a good thing Aphrodite must have put the whammy on Helen to fall for Paris, 'cause he was a reedy, unappealing piece of work (IMHO, of course).

Given the choice between that and Coupling, I quickly opted for Jane and "Jake the Truth Snake." ;)
