This came from a limiricks, one line at a time, thread, and though it's not really a limerick, I thought it was damn good and thought I'd see what Lit's poets thought as well.

There were several contributors, including myself, O so Wet, Jett73 and Adre, and though it was a group effort, I've taken the liberty of giving it a title.

Sea Spirit

Sand in our toes
The salt breeze blows
Tide rolls in
Seabirds spin
Fish swimming below

Hi. I notice your thread has been hanging out here for a few days so I thought I'd respond. :)

I don't see what you wrote so much as a poem but as an image that is certainly evocative--it is for me as I've spend a lot of time at beaches. It's also sort of cheerful which is totally my sense of it although I think the rhyme adds to it.

We've done a lot of group poems here over the years. Sometimes I've participated in ones where each person does one line or one verse. I've even done challenges where we go through the alphabet and each successive poster gets the next letter and we see what we end up with (usually gobbledygook!).

Thanks for sharing it and if your effort interests any of you in writing more poems, well I'm all for that.
