Rainstorms, and thunderstorms are something I have always loved... they are so romantic to me... there is nothing better than laying in bed listening to the rain hit the windows and ground outside, especially when lightening lights up the dark sky.. and the thunder makes itself known by a loud BANG and a rolling rumble that shakes the house... it's so powerful... it never fails to put me in the mood... The best Thunderstorms to me are seen over the ocean... mix the noise the rain.. the lights and the HUGE waves.... there is nothing more beautiful than that.. omg let me stop... I'm getting all worked up thinking about it.

I think it all goes back to a time I was stuck on a small island near NC, on the Outer Banks. A one room shack, tin roof, no electric. Big storm coming, my lady and I took refuge in bed... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what a night!

I remember an old sci-fi movie (forgot the title but I think it starred the guy from the Airplane movies, you know the young handsome pilot) where these space adventurers had a machine similar to the holodeck from Star Trek, and all the women always picked the same tape, called Passion Storm, which put them in a romantic hotel with a rolling ocean and thunderstorm going on just outside their window. I think it was that Crosby girl, Bing's (granddaughter?) the shapely brunette with the hair-lip (Mary? Catherine?), who did it with that pilot guy out IN the rain and thunder to this tape. Sorry, I've forgotten the details of movie title and actor's names, I just remember it was VERY romantic.

In real life, I love to cuddle up with my sweetie on a rainy morning, thunder or not. His arms feel so safe against the power of nature just a few feet away. Women always have to be protective and nurturing, thunderstorms are a chance for the MAN to have that role, I guess that's what makes them so romantic.

Jade, I am generally in a modified state of arousal at any given time so just about any weather can do it for me. Translation: I am horny most of the time!

However, thunderstorms are extra special. The biggest problem I face is our youngest one running and screaming into our room at the early stages of such activity. That puts a damper on the early stages of our activity!

I agree with you bobtoad777 (and everyone else), I always thought I was alone in my thunderstorm obsession too! That's so fucking cool! I don't know why but they always get me mad-ass horny! And rain gets me romantic. Being in the New York this year where it has rained almost every weekend (and almost everyday) has been so great! I think maybe people like us need to go away to a nudist camp where they experience Monsoon! WOW!!!

Rain is refreshing, sunshine is delicious, snow is exhilirating and wind braces up. There is no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.

But I love thunderstorms. Here in California (where I am), it just rains. I miss the summer storms from when I grew up in Tennessee. Thunder that rattles the windows and lighting so bright you could read by it. They are romantic...relaxing...awe inspiring...beautiful! (Just like you, Jade)

Just to pose the other view point, no I do not get turned on. If anything I tend to freak out. Just one of my little phobias.

Besides it's kind of hard to have sex when your head is buried under someone's armpit while trying to hide at the same time.

I love rain

I love rain and thunderstorms. I can just sit and listen to a good storm for hours with the lights out. It's so relaxing. It's the best way to go to sleep to. I've also enjoyed swimming in the rain. I used to do it in Arizona alot. It's probably dangerous to swim in the rain but it feels sooo good.
I have some tapes of rainstorms that are very relaxing and I listen to them sometimes when I try and go to sleep. It's not as good as the real ting tho. The atmosphere durring a storm is different. You can smell a storm and almost feel it and it dosn't translate to tape. I wish california got more serious storms this post has made me miss them.

I miss the storms in Arizona, too. I was just a kid, so I really enjoyed them. I still remember the smell, and how the rain was warm.

Now I'm afraid of thunder, but I like the lightning. It's pretty weird. The cats hide when it gets bad. I wish I could fit under the bed with them sometimes. LOL

Did you ever see the movie "Straight Story"?...

I've seen storms in Wisconsin, Arizona, North Carolina, and always loved them in the Texas Panhandle. If I knew what I know now about tornados, I'd have been frightened. Storms and snugglebugging with the One you love is so Great...

By the way, Richard Farnsworth is in that movie, and the enjoyment of a good storm is written all over his face.
