I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place to post this, but I had to say something...

I read one of the stories posted on this person's page, enjoyed it tremendously, and decided to check out others. I clicked on the one entitled "Satan's Seduction", and realized quickly that it was exactly the same as the story I had just read. The only thing that had changed were the names of the characters. I also noticed that the two stories "Dormitory Fire Drill" and "Fire Alarm in the Girls' Dorm" are also identical to each other, again only the names of the characters changing between the two.

Is there any rule against this sort of practice, or is it just kinda... icky, for want of a better term?

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I suspect in both cases the author wanted to edit/rename the original story, but didn't know how to delete the original, while posting its replacement.

All they have to do is submit the story they want to delete, with exactly the same details, except against the title they simply add the word 'DELETE' and the story will be removed immediately.

Ah, I see. I'm in the same boat as you... I wanna give the author the benefit of the doubt as well. I sent them a message when I noticed on the chance that it was just a simple mistake on their part. The stories really are quite good, though :)

I don't think there's any rule against it as long as the author is the original author of the story being reworked.

I suspect that it's just laziness on the part of the author -- I see a lot of authors all over the 'net that are pretty much "one idea authors" who C&P large blocks of acion into very story they write; some don't even bother to change the names.

Since the stories in question are in different categories I suspect that there are more changes than just the names but the author just has only "one story to tell" and just reuses blocks of text in every story.

Laziness? No. Senility.

Og had posted Maypole but forgot that he had also posted it as me, so we each have that story in our submissions.

Since Og IS me, and I am Og, I'm not plagarising myself but I am confusing the readers.

Jeanne, er, Og, er whoever.

PS. Don't mention Fag-Ash Lil.
