When I was younger, taking family road trips on a Sunday afternoon, I always tried to encourage my mother (who was usually driving) to take wrong turns. I always wanted to get lost and explore and see what was out there.
When I graduated high school, I wanted to take a year before college and become an over the road truck driver to explore the United States, to see what was out there.
When I enrolled in College, I wanted to go far away from home. To experience new adventures, to see what was out there.
As you might be able to tell, so things didn’t happen. I never had the grand adventures to explore and see what was out there. Life’s circumstances dictated a different path. A more comfortable, routine, predictable, “stable” path.
Now here I am married for 20 years, in what appears on the outside a stable, comfortable, routine, predictable marriage. And sadly, one lacking romance, passion, excitement, adventure, and experimentation, and yes sex.
Mine isn’t a unique story. Mine isn’t all that uncommon.
Perhaps you find yourself in the very same car ride.
Over the past few months, and perhaps quarantine helped spur this, I have made some changes. I have lost 50 lbs and continue to loss until I hit my goal weight. I have shed not just pounds but insecurities and inhibitions. I have confidence I haven’t had before and a new outlook on life. I want the remaining years to be what the first half wasn’t.
While I am not looking to change my marital situation, I am looking for a partner to share my exploration and adventure with. Even if it can only be virtually. At least that is where it needs to start and remain for now.
There is much I want to explore. I just don’t want to do it alone.
My ideal companion would be a woman similar in age (give or take 10 years either direction) who is in a similar situation and wanting a companion. Someone to talk about life and sex. Who wants to explore their sexuality as well, and try new things.
Someone on the east coast would be ideal for time zone reasons.
The northeast, and specifically PA for future possibilities, but that is not a necessity.
If you have read this far and want to jump in with me, please message me and put in the title of your message “let’s roll”.
