Being lectured wasn't something Nick Carver looked forward to but something he had been used to for a while now. If Pam got her wish he would be settled down and married within the year. She thought that everyone wanted to be happily married like herself. Big chance Nick thought as he tried to shut down his ears from her bitching. Just because she was his older sister she seemed to think she could dictate his future. He had a surprise for her if she insisted. No way in hell that he would go into that trap again. Once was enough in his book.

"How long will you be a pussy hound." Pam said in an irritated voice. She had that look she used when he was a kid and had done something wrong.

"A new woman every day." She stopped as she tore into him with her eyes. Nick flinched a little.

"You exaggerate." He put in lamely. He wasn't out with women every day. He had a life outside the dating scene.

"Exaggerate? How long ago are it since you was in a relationship?" Pam looked even more annoyed at his excuses.

"Wait a minute here. Just because i am not in a relationship now doesn't mean i haven't been." Nick's face flushed with frustration.

"From what i seen and heard you haven't been exclusive with a woman since that bitch Melissa. She fucked you over but it have been two years. Get over it." Pam said angrily.

"I am over her." Nick met the doubting gaze of his sister.

Pam sighed. It was no use. Her brother wouldn't change. Unless the right woman just appeared in front of him. Which seemed like impossible as he had dated scores of women and none lasted more than a few days. He wasn't a bad looking guy. Maybe that was his problem. He was to handsome for his own good. His dark brown hair never seemed to know a brush and his green eyes that ran in the family was absolutely stunning. The eyes matched the tan he had received from his outdoor activities.

He was 29 years and had worked on The Vision magazine for 5 of them. He was a photographer and technician and loved it. Pam knew that it suited his lifestyle. But before the catastrophe with Melissa he was a different young man. Afterwards he had grown some traits she didn't like. He should really be with a woman he loved and that was that. But she had almost given up hope that he would find the right one.
