Someone adding to your story

Hey all I hope someone can help me here.
I posted a story about someone I met on here.
And he wrote a "part II".
How can we get his story to be posted as a part II to my story?

Would the only way to do this to be for me to post it and put in the first line that he wrote it?

I would love for him to be able to post it himself but.....I don't know if that's possible, or is it?

He could name it the same thing with Part 2 after it, I suppose but that sounds to easy......

You can make a public comment to your story with a link to his story, and he can do likewise.

If for some reason you aren't allowed to post public comments to your submissions (I don't know if you can, I've never tried) then you can post them to each others.

It can be "Someone I Met On Here" by grlnxtdoor
"Someone I Met On Here Ch. 2" by grlnxtdoor's friend.

Or if you're posting both, you could have an author's note at the beginning of the story saying that you wrote the first part but he wrote the second.

And then re-post it.

It makes all your votes and comments start all over.

But it is one way to have your part end, and:

Part 2 written by BigDongAndTheTwoDanglingBalls

Start up in the same place.

He can post it himself, the only real concern is how to make it easy for the readers to find both parts.

In effect you two have written a private chain story so you might look into how chain story segments are linked together and see if you can duplicate that linkage (or get Laurel to link them.)

Don't remove the story, just post an edit- and in the edit, add an author's note explaining the situation. he can add an author's note to his as well. You can also edit the title, to add "Part 1" to it...

To post an edit, submit the story again, and add :EDIT: in the title, or in the notes.
