I have always liked the Clinton's. Clinton hate needs to be understood psychologically. Bill and Hillary are not evil. Their politics are not extreme.

Hatred of Bill was largely lingering fallout from the War in Vietnam. During the 1990's there still were a lot of white men who were angry about the fact that the United States lost the War in Vietnam. They were angry because many of those who protested against the war were prospering, as most of them were not.

Hatred of Hillary is governed by the fact that many low status, low income white men resent women with Hillary's intelligence, education, and competence. They like Sarah Palin because she is goofy and silly. That is the way they think women should be.

But yet, compared to Trump, whose corruption, self-serving aggrandizement and shadiness are so far out in the open even a child should be able to see it- Hillary and Bill are downright saints. Plus, their actual policies were far less extreme and less divisive.

They care about tax cuts for the rich, putting an end to safe and legal abortion, and making liberals cry - that's it.

Hillary Clinton isn't a saint and she has overweaning ambition, but that's based on a higher competence in governing than almost anyone else breathing in the United States and on the Republican's recognition of this over many decades that they have relentlessly and largely successfully Swiftboated her.
