.......the logic of these two actions. It seems to me if you're going to stop one increase because it goes over the cap, you should do so with all of them. If not all you're doing is blowing hot air and shoveling bullshit.

OTOH, maybe it means Congress should rethink whether there should be a cap at all. In fact, that's exactly what it means.

why is your kind so evil?

your obama wants and creates war ... then you and your kind shoot our veterans in the back and demand military cuts in order to support your addiction to welfare.

you need to be ashamed of your sinful life ... get a job!

what does one have to do with teh other?

Because defense contractors lobby Republicans to pass defense spending to fatten their pockets, and defense unions lobby Democrats to pass defense spending to fatten their pockets.

You know, for a group of people who spend so much time arguing over politics, your quite naive...

Contractors don't only lobby Republicans. In fact, some industrialists are staunch Dems, such as Jeffrey Immelt, the CEO of General Electric.

Happy to see you exhibiting your total impotence irrelevantly on an erotica discussion board too. With luck, all of screaming and ranting will give you a stroke. :D

Ah, look, that vein on the side of your neck is throbbing and your face is turning red. :D

Sorry jack, but the 'ol " The Dems do it too" isn't going to cut it. How can any politician reconcile these two opposing arguments? Perhaps if they would honor their word and do what they say they will, we might, and I emphasis might, get a few things done in congress.

It extends right on down the ladder. Our state legislature just got themselves an 11% raise. Granted an independent commission gave it to them, but how can they accept it when they have refused to give state workers a COLA since 2009 and still do? Seems to me what's good for the goose is good for the gooosie. I was always taught leadership by example is the best way. Instead we get do as I say and not as I do.

Fucking bunch of hypocrites every last fucking one of 'em. No wonder the government is in such fucked up shape.

*rant done*

I have always said, politicians, regardless of party, are all crooks.

And it doesn't start with Congress. It starts in the oval office.

There is a false equivalency in the premise. Unless the author can explain why these two different stories should be linked. Just because they are both about funding doesn't mean they are related.

I asked 3 times

Still waiting for answer:rolleyes:

Sure they are. In the first one the appropriations committee refused funding because it would violate the spending cap, in the second they wanted to increase funding for the military even though it violated said cap. Had they used any other argument in either case the two wouldn't be linked or have much to do with each other. However, they used opposing argument on the same subject to support the two different cases. Nothing inconsistent and slimy about that, right?
In layman's terms I believe that's called being two faced.

No, it starts with the voters who buy into the propaganda cranked out by corporate shills.

Generally speaking, voters are not politicians. However, I will say most vote their pocketbooks, which is why so many liberals get elected.
