I like the GI Joe Idea, their starting to come back this year. Matrix I think would die out quickly and would be too complex, I haven't heard of the other things. I'm starting to think it might be better to start a thread a few weeks from now, when people are on winter break. I think a reason for the recent drop-offs has alot to do with finals and shopping.

I've posted a couple ideas but it doesn't seem like I'm getting a good response, what do you guys think?

The idea of a Matrix style thread sounds cool.... would be into that one really quickly. I also love the idea of a GI Joe thread although I'll do alot better in this one. King and Country thread- oh hell yeah, you start it I'll join. But I did come up with two ideas, they are both set on games- I know, but I couldn't come up with anything else.

So what about a Resident Evil and a Metal Gear Solid thread?

I love those games. The rip-offs aren't as good, but Silent Hill isn't bad, either. The bitch of it is...Code Veronica isn't for regular Playstation, so I can't play it...that sucks.
Sorry, went off on a tangent for a second, but I'm back. Resident Evil would make a great thread, if we could find enough people and keep them all on the same page.

A bunch of good ideas. Wow, we've never really had a thread that was just for ideas before, this is kind of interesting.
I've asked this before, but what about an Army of Darkness thread? Somewhere along the lines of a bunch of people go back in time and have to save the day, with a bunch of evil and twists and turns in between.
I think the Matrix would work, if we would agree that one person dealth specifically with major plot twists and things, and just let them play the evil Agents. That way we won't have 8 different people all wanting to be the "one" and pulling the thing in so many different directions that it isn't a successful thread.
Everything else sounds good as well, although I don't have much experience with it. I'm sure a cleverly written prologue would give me enough info to join in .

My major concern with the Matrix thread would be people changing the events too easily, like how Neo and the agents could manipulate the Matrix. But pooh's idea of one person being in charge of major plot elements would smooth things out I suppose.

I have a question that's been puzzling me, not to take anything away from more creative ideas that are coming thorugh here but anyways, what is A Perfect World missing? Why isn't it appealing?

I think that would be the hardest part about a Matrix thread.... who is going to be the "one"

There is only one thing I can say.... it is not going to be me. But I like the idea about one person being in control of the plot, throwing in little twists and turns and having control of the agents. That's what it needs, otherwise it is going to go in every direction at once and nobody will know where it's going.

I also came up with another idea for a thread..... I know it has been done before but what about a spy thread. One person would have to play the maniacal(sp?) villian- now there is a one in a million role to play.

The Matrix could be pre "The One" you know... Neo doesn't even have to exist in it yet... Has no one gone to the matrix site and read Goliath yet? Yeesh! That is a perfect example of what a thread COULD be...

And a spy thread would be awsome too! Kinda like bond and all!

Although I really want to see another G I Joe thread personally, that would have lots of potential if you ask me... I call one of the ninja boy's doesn't matter which...

You're kidding?! Then get yer butt to a book store or a library and snagg some! For Xanth, I would suggest you read Crewl Lye: A caustic yarn first and formost. And a good one for Disk world is anything with Rinswind in it!

What about a Suikoden thread? Since there's so many characters, there would be plenty to choose from. The story of the 27 True Runes could be continued. (By the way, Suikoden 3 is coming out for PS2)
