Watching TV... Some politician gets on and talks about Iraq.

So the host asks why people haven't been giving a good explanation to why we should attack Iraq.

This set the politico off.

He said that the public shouldn't have that info because its "sensitive".

He then got really abstract.

(paraphrasing) "Remember 9/11? Remember the horrible images on TV? Imagine if that was an Iraqi nuclear bomb. Then we wouldn't be talking about only 3K that died, we'd be talking about the piece of charcoal that was left".

Wow.

I worry about that greatly. I live near DC. A 100 kiloton bomb over the pentagon would flame my home. I'd prefer that we take extensive steps to make sure that crazy man doesn't have the ability to kill millions of us. What are those steps..agreement to a full and thorough inspection would be a good first step.

You think attacking a guy is going to make him NOT set off weapons. If he's seiged he'll say "I have nothing left to lose" and start firing.

I just said that we ought to have a thorough inspection. I don't want any kind of attack if we can avoid it. But it's very important that Hussain fully comply with the inspectors. Why did you think that I supported an attack?

This has to be the worst political thread ever...

Some guy was talking on the TV and he scared me.

Yeah, I'm scared too because other countries have bombs and they might bomb me.

You are right, someone might get desperate and start firing.

Perhaps not the most tactful way to phrase it and I guess it could be seen as diminishing the lose of some 3000 people to some, but where is the fallacy in his thought? Is it better to "deny" the possibility or perhaps more politically correct not to ponder what the effects of an atomic detonation would have been at the WTC?

Who was he, Spin?

I don't know who he was and that pisses me off.

However, it's like saying, what if the zimbabweans had attacked Pearl Harbor? Two completely different groups.

I hate it when Spinaroonie is right, but let's face it. Most a third af the Senate and most of the House are bone heads. We really should have paid closer attention to that "Contract with America"

OK, I see what you are saying! The connection is grey between OBL and Sadam. I can see your point.

What in the world did the '94 election have to do with September 11, Mike? Have you read the "Contract with America"?

Rhumb:confused:

mike's trying to put this thread out of reach from any other congregation of retards-I hope.

Funny thought that. People had the same thought about Hitler. If I leave him alone, maybe he won't shoot.
