I'm bemused, mostly. Why me? Just random, I think.

It's the W32/SirCam@MM virus. I was suspicious at once, since I don't know this idiot, and I have very stringent junk mail filters on at Hotmail. So I clicked on the attachment to see what would come up in the way of Hotmail warnings. I know it scans all attachments for viruses, so I was curious. And, yep, there is one. So I'm saving it for later tonight when I have more time to deal with it.

Where should I send it?

That's the extent of it. I just wanted to let you guys know, in case it comes around to you.

Yayati.... ?

April I got that too, and since I didn't know the person and it looked suspicious I just deleted it.

Guess I should have turned it in too.

Since the Sricam virus sends out these e-mails without the infected user's knowledge, I would reply to this e-mail and tell him his system is infected with the Sircam virus.

I've only had one virus *glaring at a certain person in the thread ;)* Now, I'm always on the look out!

I agree with Weird Harold, send a reply and let him know...He may not even know he has a virus.

Okay, I will advise this poor unfortunate. Is there anything else I should do?

But...doesn't it send out copies of itself to people in your address book? Or does it make up random names? I don't know this person. Hmm, I think I will go do some research.

Over the last two weeks I have had the sircam virus come in almost everyday. Random names, made up email addresses. I just delete it but damn it is annoying!
