I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the poets who have shared their poetry in Forums. I see you, thank you.

The following are some 42Below poems I like, written in the Lit Monthly poem threads of yesteryear. They remind me of my journey to discover my poetic voice and of the many poets I heard along the way reading through the Lit years.

Hello was my first ever Lit poem.

Hello,

to, the voices in my head
it’s been a long time since
I saw you. You have been
silent as the night is silent.

To the voices outside of
my head you have been
as noisy as the daylight
standing with the sun, to

you the voices hearing my
three voices, you are not
all crazy, I am in your head.
I just wanted to say Hello

Hello

AMERICAN JEDI

Far far away the impossibility of blue sky
Four brown kids In a barefoot boys break
Eat a loaf of bread No butter No spread

Behemoth Overhead Endless Star Cruiser
Their Galaxy of Stars a Sarlacc pit No R2
No fleeing ship No moisture evaporators

Just Tatooine and illimitable US interpreters
There will be No Rebel Alliance with the Sith
A hand full of Presidents will get them killed

It Rained in Florence

Your face is the sun
You place its golden coin

In my broken body
My engine is in parts

In your pink shaded mantle
Oil spills across my canvas

to melt the pure wool of winter
from my wind leathered sinew

the lean bone of winter
perennial as your sacrifice

I am at once your
Flamen and Flaminica

singing to the fecundity of life
singing with your husband

the Wind in Florence
you are a Titian

Flōra forever.
Leaves turned into spring

Anakin Skywalker Gets a Hard On drunken couch surfing

She was an indian summer afro cool in the hot of a Coruscant night;
Her bare Twi’lek skin aqua indigo in harlequin white holdups; Her

feminine mouth an ocean of smokey red wine lips; Under my powder blue
eyes in tropical dips; My naked belly and her smooth savanna; I swallow

through her zebra striped bra; Protruding double nipples arousing
my lightsaber in extension of my inner being. Then. I woke up. Dry

humping my girlfriend’s hot mother’s leg. I said. What! Are? You! Doing?
—In My Bed! She said. With a wry smile. This isn’t your bed.

FURRY OPOSSUM PREMONITION ON A ROAD VERGE

TARANTINO EXPLAINS THE BRIDE SCENE IN ANIME TO UMA THURMAN.

I hear you calling buzzing flies in the warmth of your tepid mouth calling dead oily slick splatted Wide eyed opened in departure from your smashed marrow swallow tongue socket glaring red staring still fountain fanning blood foaming death on a road body. I mow you down in my truck.

Sun Tzu replies to
the love of his life

Love is an asymmetrical enemy
inspiring neither defense or attack

In style and composition love is
masterful on loves battlefield

in words in letters all available
resources must disagree with

the pure irrationality of my
bodies martial movements

roiling as a one man army these
lines my loving hands and tears

bristling in steel my chariot slain
in your ink in kiss my lips press

up against your page in collision
with the last blush of your pinyin

máo bǐ you are my
supreme commander

I surrender this field willingly
I will appear weak when strong

In one hundred battles amidst your chaos
I will be your thunderbolt from heaven

even when far away
you will feel I am near you

A Letter to the Wind.

A letter to the wind
for all the good it
will do me.

I wish you
could hear me
hearing you

I would listen
to the beating
of your heart

I would hear
you calling
if you let me

I would not try
to catch you
or keep you

I would walk
awhile just
being you

even when you
were howling
I would be there

never with me
seeing you
every where

with you
