A couple of years ago I read a Loving Wives story that had several sequels or alternate endings by other authors that I'm trying to find again.
In the original story, the wife calls the husband (who is never named) while he is driving to inform him that her sister just found out that she can't have children, so the wife is going to step up and be a surrogate. The catch is that her family (IIRC, particularly her mother and brother-in-law) insists on doing things "the natural way" (i.e., having sex with her brother-in-law in order to get pregnant, rather than via artificial insemination).
There were several sequels/alternate endings written by other authors from the husband's point of view (where he eventually got a name). Some were BTB, some were reconciliation.
