Solstice!!!

The pivot point. Winter solstice where I live: Sunrise, 8:02 AM. Sunset 4:22 PM, day length 8:21:13. Time change -0.01.

And now the long climb back to Summer solstice. Sunrise, 5:13 AM, sunset 9:17 PM, day length 16:03:51. Time change, +0.01.

Comshaw

I don't follow any "practices" and I almost never sleep until dawn regardless of the time of year, but I like light, and I feel a slight lift in my mood the day after winter solstice, knowing that the days are getting longer, even if only imperceptibly so for the first few weeks.

I guess I'm a little south of you and more easterly in the time zone 7:25AM - 4:14PM 8:49 daylight.
I don;t know what our summer solstice times are, but I know we get sunrise before 5AM. The damned cats expect to get fed at sunrise. By me.

In 2018, we thought seriously about moving to Oslo (one of our favorite cities in the world). But neither my wife nor I thought we could handle the lack on sunlight in the winter.
